I just want to share my happy day with everyone. My baby will be a year old very soon and yesterday she took her first step without holding on. I am so excited for her. She was born premature and has grown leaps and bounds. It is such a bittersweet feeling. They are growing up so quick.

I am so excited! I make a big fuss over her and to see her clap and smile because she did it warms my heart. It is a wonderful feeling. Thank you for responding.

Whether or not our children are born prematurely, it really does seem like they grow up way too fast. My youngest niece, Jaley is actually going to be a year old tomorrow and she was one of those babies that was born prematurely. When she was born she had to spend the first two weeks of her life in the NICU because of her size and the fact that she had breathing problems. However, she is now as big as my son was at a year old and he was actually born on his due date.

I know that being a preemie does not always hinder a child, but I was a little worried because at her 6 months follow up she was a bit behind. She fortunately did not have any breathing problems, but they had to keep her for a month because of other issues. She is still on the small side of things and still taking fortifier to add weight but it is great to see her grow. I also have a nephew who is 6 months younger then her and he weighs more lol. I am glad to know that Jaley (cute name), is doing well. Thank you for replying.

Hi krupar, Yeah, I can feel your joy, sharing every first move of the baby is really a joy, whether it's her first step, her first word, etc. Sooner, you'll see her running around, jumping up and down, it's fun to watch the baby growing up. Every time when I look at my son, I find it very amazed, he is so big now, and I can always remember the moment he was in my womb, the moment he was born and slept next to me, the moment I was carrying him all night long to make him sleep better, etc. Enjoy your motherhood! ^_^
