One of my problem is having teary eyes and feel so itchy when I'm looking to the monitor of my computer after the long time of using it. This could lead me to rub my eyes again and again that turns red. Last time when I'd overtime using my laptop typing and surfing the net when i waked up i felt very itchy in my eyes. I'd suffer it for how many weeks before it vanished. And I'm afraid that it will happen again since this past few days I'd sleep at night so late. What should I do to treat if this will happen again? .

You should consult with eyes dr. because this is not good flowing tears everytime while using computer or watching TV. Avoid more time spend in front of Computer.

It seems that you have developed chronic conjunctivitis due to allergy. You may use any anti-allergic eye drop and also an artificial tear substitute. If there is no improvement, it would be better to consult with an ophthalmologist.

Oh that is so bothersome, I know because last month I too was facing the same problem for many days. I exercised my eyes, applied warm compresses, took steam etc. but they only provided short term relief. Finally I had to see a doctor and it was because of dryness from excessive working on computer. Also, since I did not seek help on time, rubbing eyes constantly had developed mild infection. So he prescribed me some eye drops and an ointment to applied for one month and now my eyes are okay. I think you should also go see a doctor at the earliest, where eyes are concerned, it is best to seek help immediately!! Take care!

yeah too much of computer or laptop use adversely affects one's eyes. In order to avoid your problem, you can use a screen guard that will help you to protect your eyes from the radiations coming out from the laptop. You can also reduce the contrast and brightness setting of your laptop. You can use white transparent glasses temporarily and remove them after internet browsing. you can maintain certain distance and do your work on laptop.

Hi Kiyumi Every so often I suffer from this condition too. Since I am allergic to a couple of things, it happens to me that my eyes are irritated, and looking at computer monitors makes it worse. I use eye drops prescribed by my allergist and they really help me. So perhaps you might try some too.
