India Started the Series vs Sri Lanka in style with a win.....

yes, India started the series with a good victory over the home team. Kohli, viru once again played a good knock, which helped India to attain a good total. Raina got a well played fifty, Dhoni also made some hits at the end. Indian bowling was good, but not a great one, it was as usual, Irfan bowled very well, its good to see him bowling like this. Sanga played a one man show, but it was not enough for the team. Any way India played well and won the match. Hope India will win the series....

With a high scoring match India did manage a 21 run victory, this should get the moral of the team going. To win the first match series does give a boost, let's see if Indian team can keep the momentum going and win the series ....

I think it was a thoroughly professional win for India. Usually India are really slow starters and lose their first match. But yesterday, their batting unit was all well prepped. Starting with Sehwag and Kohli and the finish by Dhoni and Raina really set the match up on a platter. What can we say about Kohli, he simply loves the Lankan bowling attack as he scored his third century on the trot against them. On the other hand, Sehwag again went on to miss out another century against the Lankans by getting unnecessarily run out going for a second run 4 runs short of the century. The bowlers looked also on the game, but the fielding was woeful from both the sides. India missed at least three to four catchable chances and then there were mis fields and overthrows throughout the match. So it is a good start, but a long way to go if we want to go for a 5-0 victory to get the no.1 spot in the ODI rankings. Cheers! Ram

Hi Yes India started well.. India is always strong in batting side. So yesterday they also bat well. Sehwag, Kohli, Raina, Dhone all have done good job to make India above 300 runs. About bowling, it is the weak part of India, but still they able to defend the score.. So I am happy. Surely Irfan done very well, he manage to stop Lankan's run flow during his bowling, and make pressure from the starting.. India's way of First Rank in ODI is looking more clear now.

i watched the entire match and was extremely delighted to see india romp home in style ,i was hoping that they would come good and it has eventually happened which i am quite happy about and they played well as a team,but they could have stopped sangakkara from playing attacking and finest form of cricket with the offspinner attack from the other end,but it never worked.Anyways it was a fine and good start to india . Lets hope they perform a whitewash against the lankans this time around

Yes, it is good start for us. We all are aiming at a 5-0 win and to regain the number one position in the ranking table. All the very best for team India .

hello, Yeah my friend India has really played well in the first match in this series. They have showed some great cricket. All the players have performed well in the first match. They looked really in great form. Lets see how they play in the rest of the series. Winning the forst match of the series is very important as it gives a boost in the morale of the players. Virat Kohli played yet another fantastic innings and scored a century. He really is in great form. He is a key playe. and also virender sehwag showed he is an integral part of the team.

yeah indeed India is off to a brilliant start in the series. Sir Lankan conditions are very much difficult to play especially for the overseas team. And with this morale boosting win over a strong team, will surely help India to seal the series with a whitewash victory. What say?

Hi Venkit cheers!! I am very happy.But Malinga's performance was awesome,towards the end,but he could not save them.Both teams have made a lot of mistakes.Indias Fielding and Bowling was very sloppy.I think its because of the long break,it would take time to get into their groove and once they do that,a 5-0 clean sweep would be inevitable for the SLs.But these are sub continent conditions,India still has to prove her metal in fast pacy,bouncy tracks of Aus and SA. Kohli and sehwag were awesome as always,but the swashbuckling partnership between Dhoni and Raina made all the difference. Sanga played a master class but he was too late to get off the blocks,thats what cost Lankans the match. I can't believe this guy Kohli,if he goes on like this,by the age of 30,we might see him equalling every records of Sachin.He is really a sachin in the making.

I am happy for our cricket team and really congratulate them for this wonderful win they registered. What makes it great is the time span after which this them returned to field. I would love to see some more comprehensive wins like these before the start of T 20 world cup. These wins will surely appreciate the chances of India winning the cup as they will already be used to the conditions and will have moral confidence backing them too.
