Ugh! Its driving me crazy! I want the golden kitten!
Now I have a kitten. She is my spoiled 10 month old purr princess who may or may not want to share me w another cat... how would I know?
My grown up s-son just had kittens. His dad is dead set against our adopting another kitten. We have a cat. And he's right.
This kitten is a dark yellow golden color with black tiger strips and the mom has green eyes. The kitten, the only 1 who looks like the mom, is a tiny replica. I don't know if its boy or girl.
I am in love with this golden tiger kitten with green eyes. Should I just bring the new kitten home n hope its ok in the end? I'm tempted to do that. Lol.

It takes time, to introduce them into environemnt and together. I have 3 cats, 2 are brother & sster who came home together but my parents had 5 cats at the time already in the house, my third I adopted and brought him home a few months ago. Put the one in a different room, and make it less stressful, on occassion let them out with other cats. It may take time if they are possessive of their items such as beds, toys, etc. Try getting each their own, for example if I go shopping and buy toys I buy 3 not just 1 to share just llike children. Treat them the same, dont ignore the cat your already have for the toher, if you show the new one attention show the other right after they get jealous just like if you brought home a new child.

I was telling my children just that... that if we adopt a new kitten we can not forget that Ty was here first. She will get hurt feelings, I told them. But my kitten sleeps with my older son... in his bed on the top bunk... and it took her awhile because she was small to climb up there by herself. So mayb she will be able to get away from the baby kitty if she wants alone time too.

Oh and I mean dot just lock the cat in the room all the time. But say bring him out after a week, then say so long each day, until they are use to each other. I took 2 months for my two to get use to the house, and the other animals. But give them their own thing, and make them special. Patches usually sleeps with me, whereas Marco the bunny is in his cage on the floor, and her other brothers Stripes sleeps up on his cat climber, and Toppie sleeps on the couch. Don't change what you are doing with the cat that is already there. I find Patches if you spend more time with other cats, or animals she will get jealous.

Hello, I don't know how cats accept other cats if they live indoor. Doesn't matter how long my cat was walking in the garden, watching other cats, he is still aggressive with other pets who try to take a place on his territory. While we were guests at mom with our puppy, my cat which now is living with mom, didn't want to get along with the pup. The puppy is very curious and never aggressive with people, cats, dogs, it's playful but I would never call it aggressive, just because I see the joy he has when meets another pet.
But there is a thing our male cat do with ours when some female cat has kittens in our garden. He stay and watch the kittens with hours, without even trying to get close to them.
I guess it's much different with having a cat who is a girl, also she is not very big at her age to try and take over all of the place you live in. May be you should try and meet them first.

This is actually a great step. Only meeting both of them you will know if it's a good idea or not. Of course the baby kitty will not react bad, but you need to know how your princess will react, which is more important. A grown up cat may hurt a baby, so be careful

kittens are very cute, I also get tempted to bring them home whenever i see them at my friends place. But then I think of them jumping here and there, on the table, sink and other places where food is kept, then i don't bring them home. lol. I do have 3 cats at my mother's home and they are nice ones. they were totally black. People used to ask us for the cat because one day on the radio the RJ said that totally black cats are lucky.lol. But we never gave them away. they were my favorite. If you want you can bring that kitten but think twice. lol.
