My daughter who is in her second year in high school (equivalent to grade 8 in K12) sent me a message last week that she has been chosen as one of the campus journalists in her school. I asked her how she was chosen and she told me that she wrote about anime. As a mother, I am very proud of my daughter having this kind of achievement. I would always tell her how proud I am of her. She joined the other students who were chosen in a training seminar on that field. As I've read her articles, I know she will have a bright future in writing. I hope she will continue improving.

Indeed your daughter's achievement is something to be proud of Aries. Anything which our children achieves in life can indeed make parents very proud.
Just like you, i am also proud of my daughter. She has been a scholar since high school. And now, she's a full scholar at a prestigious medicine school.

Wow! You have a wonderful daughter. Congratulations!
All the problems, hardships that we experience as we are trying to give them the best will all be paid off because we can see that they are also striving hard and doing their best. That alone would make me happy.

THat's true Aries. Seeing our children strive hard in their studies, assures us that they will have a nice future. It also means all our sacrifices will someday pay off.

It's always nice to hear about kids exhibiting real talent, moreso in a creative field like journalism. Achievement-oriented kids, I think, have inspiring influences, and the parent's upbringing also helps.

Thank you for participating in this discussion. Every parent should be proud of the achievement of their children no matter how small or big it is. I know your children will grow up to be like you also.

I'm not yet a mother but i will take the side of your daughter.it is also a great accomplishment she have and i know she is also very happy to inform that to you. With that you ought to be proud.Nowdays there are only very few students who are really putting much efforts on their studies especially on the extra curricular activities.I hope also that she will continue to improve the God given talent to her.

I am not yet a mom to be proud of a daughter but I am a daughter who would make my mom be proud of. I grew up with my granny and I knew that I made her proud with my achievements back when I was a student. That pride she had for me encouraged me do better. It feels really good when you know that someone appreciates what you do. Since my granny had passed away, I make it to a point that I could still make my own mom proud even if I didn't grow up with her.
I hope you continue to support and believe in your daughter. Let her know that you're just there to support her all the way. but see to it that you don't put too much expectations on her because she might end up frustrated when she failed. Wishing all the best for you and your daughter. :)

Yes I would remember that suggestion. I remember when she was younger, she was not that very attractive and cute while her cousin was. but I will always tell her that she is the prettiest. When they grow up, she told me she remember those days, and now those things became true. lol. i told her I was just kidding those days.

Yes, a mother would really be proud of their children when they do something great. You must be very happy about it. As a mother, you should support her all the way and I think it is the best thing you can do. I want to make my mother and father proud of me too by doing good in my studies and be able to graduate this year.
