Dare to think out of facebook world...

I have recently joined mylot. Prior to this I was very much engaged to facebook whenever I used to surf anything on internet. Now I am keeping myself busy on mylot. Though whenever occasionally I visit facebook I do not see ant thing changed there. I do not mean it literally . Guys there are dying to get there comments liked, photos appreciated and status read. It seems as if they have surrendered to facebook. They have personified it in their life and keep on impressing it. It is really surprising to see what all stuffs they prefer to share just to fantasy their chances of getting comment.. It is no more a website for people to remain in contact with their acquaintances. It is taking a weird role in your life majorly if you are in your youth stage.
I am proud of myself and fellow mylotters that we are spending our time doing something creative. We get to learn a lot here. I have learned a lot of things and it is on...

facebook is useful for me to get more visitors to my blog site. i go to different career oriented facebook sites and post about my blog
mylot helps me earn me besides getting me a lot of friends. i spend more time in mylot than facebook

There are very less number of people using facebook for a creative cause as you are doing. They are using facebook to get themselves judged. And this thing is spreading like an epidemic. They get affected by comments on facebook to an unbelievable extent.

Yes sir, I have seen some uploading their all sorts of photos and wish to get liked. There motive is not to share their life moments but to get comments and likes. They visit a lovely place but do not care to upload those photos but yes they very well remember to change their profile picture and get a smarter one the next time all for the fame for the comments.

You're right, probably if I was younger I'd also be more active in facebook but now I treasure my privacy. I have a lot of friends in facebook, 90% of which are just acquaintances. People I've trained before or I used to work with before and I'm very careful of my posts, I don't share anything personal because it's like giving a license for others to take a peek at your daily activities or judge you in any way. I'm glad that here in myLot, members are artistically inclined and are able to showcase their skills.

Yes I think you got my point. I am in my teenage and I feel mylot is proving to be such an asset for me. What I do not like face book and other social networking websites is that though they are made for acquaintances, but it is singly used for comments and likes/dislikes. I went through an article of a famous author here using face book for poling and bringing up various social issues in front of youth, but unfortunately very few people are using facebook for a good cause.

Yes. i remember visavis was an active player in June-Sept. 2011. nowadays I think visavis is not that active in mylot. It must be due to business needs. good.
