I only have about 3 weeks left of my summer break. I will be back in my classroom getting things ready, organizing, making copies, writing lesson plans, and generally getting all of my ducks in a row before I have to officially get back into my normal schedule. The big issue is that I have become a night owl. I have been staying up way past midnight, and not getting up until my pre-schooler wakes up around quarter to 8. To most of the world that may not seem late, but to my school year schedule that is pushing morning coffee break time. During the school year, I am up and moving by 5 or 5:15.
Guess, I need to start going to bed a bit earlier each night. I am not at all tired right now, but know that I should not start a 2 and a half hour movie.
Anyone else have to get back into a different sleep schedule?

I'm thinking about having to do that soon. I substitute teach, but I can only do half days and I like afternoons better.
Right now, I wake up in the middle of the night and go meditate. I have only a 500 cc bladder (most people have a 1000 cc bladder) so I can't help it. I find meditation quite interesting.

Our sleep schedule is all over the place because my husband works rotating shifts and I work around his schedule. We have to bring in a better system though, because our son starts preschool in the fall which means I should probably be dressed and have showered before 9am each morning.

Since you have some time to make the adjustments, you should start now. Since you can't sleep early, make sure you wake up earlier than normal. During the course of the day, try not to take any nap. In times to come, due to the fact that you are sleep deprive, you should be able to go to bed earlier.

Its simple, just go back to your normal sleeping cycle and you don't have to worry about that. Reversing your sleeping pattern is easy as changing it. Do things that make your sleep better and you will be fine.

My sleep schedule has been much like a roller coaster this entire summer. There would be days where I couldn't stay up after 9:00 P.M. , then there would be days I would stay up until 8 A.M. the next day and then crash, then there would be days where I would crash at 2 A.M. (on the next day). I can honestly say that it's quite irritating yet worth doing.
I'm definitely not ready to get ready for school quite yet. I think the next three weeks are going to be a pain since I have to get ready for School. :o
