Do you read because you like it or not?

i really like to read books. since i was in my elementary years i've been reading lots of books but i usually read non-fictional books. and since then i do love reading books, the only problem i have is i don't have enough money to buy many books to read so i use ebook sometimes if i am bored and i want to read new books.

I like to read things that interests me. Not because it's the current trend or the book is so popular that I too need to read it so that I too would be updated with the current trend which is happening at the moment. Of course, there are times when I just get to browse and see a book that just catches my attention. It's not a best seller or anything of that sort, yet it just took my attention. For some people, reading is like eating. We do it every now and then and we sometimes like how it 'tastes and there are those that we simply don't like at all. Like themes in movies that we really don't fancy watching, even if we have seen a lot of trailers, heard it a couple of times from people and so on. Then we can consider our friends. We usually associate with people who we have the same interest with so, if your friends also share the same liking for the reading materials they consider interesting, perhaps they too would suggest books that they think that you would like. So, you have admitted in your post that you become sleepy and bored while reading books. There are times that you get excited when you read them and then suddenly get bored. Perhaps the writer wasn't able to fully catch your attention, unlike other writers who are quite good with what they write. Then again, we can say that other readers get captivated with what they read while you don't, considering that both of you read the same book. So we can go back to the reader again after all. Reading is a past time for most people while others consider it as a luxury. Depends on how much books costs these days in different places.

I've loved to read all my life, and I wouldn't say that reading is some fashion trend. When I was in elementary school, I was pretty much the only kid who absolutely loved to read and would be reading a new book everyday. In high school, I met only a few other big readers. In college, I was the only one again! I have some good friends who love to read and read as much as I do, but lots of people I know only read if they've heard about a popular book. I'm hardly ever bored when I read, I love high fantasy books because they're adventurous and they take me into a new world of good vs evil.

I did quite a lot of reading all this time. I read because I am really interested in reading. I like to read books about many different subjects. At times I can read for ours and hundreds of pages. Of course, we should choose something which relates to our interest or informational, then we will not feel bored too easily and will gain benefits which can be helpful in our lives.

I really like to read and so I read.

I think people who lokes to read books dont just follow a trend. reading books requires commitment to it and if you dont like reading then you wont stay until the end, like you the might get bored and close the book.

alo!! i really like to read a books especially if it is my favorite i will spent time on it just to finish it. but sometimes if im not in the mood i do not read books.

I enjoy reading as one of my top most hobby. I think that I only get bored when there is repeatation of same point. But I wish the author understand that repeating the same thing over and over again, it does not really captivate me. Though I rarely get bored when I pick a book to read.
