it happened a while ago, the teacher was returning the test papers and she reviewed the answers, and then my classmate noticed that the teacher mistakenly checked my wrong answer.. Oh well, honesty is the best policy, and one should always walk on the right road.. so i mentioned it to the teacher and lost points.

It's the same right when we have right answer but get it wrong by the teacher, we will go an ask her to correct it back. So when we write the wrong answer and get correct then we need to be honest too. It's hard to know that we are going to lose points but as being honest, that points won't give great effect to your marks right?(^^)

It might have hurt your test score, but you kept your integrity intact and I think that's the much more important thing. I've known students who've gone ahead and taken credit for mistakes, but in the end they're only making good marks because they're basically cheating, and it doesn't pay them in the long run. Eventually their own lack of owning up catching up to them. Good job and keep sticking to the right path!

At the end of the day, whatever we do we can never run away from. God knows. Our conscience will catch up with us. I don't think it is a matter that is with options for us to choose. The truth will always emerge no matter how long it takes or how deep it is buried.

Satisfaction lies not in fake things. We should be scientific minded enough to hate fake credits.

Yeah it was very truthful of yours'. At your position I would also do same but sometimes I can prefer the other way too. You just need to be connected to God. I am a honest guy most of the times, but as you said it's so hard to be honest sometimes. Also I have seen at times I am really guilt of my act and I am not able to collect all courage to accept my fault. But yes it is a very good feeling when you honestly accept your mistake.

Sometimes it is hard because your points will be reduced but it will give you a good impression to your teacher. Just believe in Karma Law. Something good might happen to you not today but in the future. Remember it is just a point but your reputation will be better.

This will give you a good impression from your teacher rather than keeping it and letting that way. Just believe in the karma Law. Maybe, there are something better going on your way.

When I was studying in high school, I had some same experiences. I also had the practice of informing the teachers about their careless error and they would reduce my marks. But one time I got centum in mathematics. But when I checked my answers, 2 one words were wrong. But I didn't tell about that to anyone as I was the only student in the class to get centum in that paper in that exam.
