Gift Card Offers?

I was just curious to know if anyone tried any of those gift card offers. I have been hearing about them more and more and was curious if they worked.
Basically, it is like you get one of those sites (survey, random offer, gift card offer etc.) and they claim you can win however much money in a gift card for a certain store if you complete their offers (e.g. $200 Walmart Gift Card)
There is usually like one bronze offer, two silver offers, and three platinum offers or something like that.
Now I have heard people who say they would put ten or twenty dollars on a prepaid card and fill out these offers with a fake email address to avoid spam in their main email address.
I have always thought of these gift card things as scams, but I am actually curious to know if anyone has tried them and they actually work.

I never interested with those kind of offer for two reason:
1. Mostly just scam
2. Even one or two are legit but most of offer not available my country

I've filled out these gift card offers before, but have never had any luck with them. They usually ask for your e-mail address, along with some other sensitive info, such as your name and address. I always find them somewhat fishy, but no harm has ever come to me. I honestly feel that they might just be making the offer to collect e-mails from many individuals and send spam :(
