Can I use Balsamic vinegar instead?

Im making rubs either for tonight, or tomorrow nights dinner. I cooked them in water and soya sauce for 15 minutes. Then it has a marinate its brown sugar, soya sauce, ketchup, garlic, ginger, and cooking wine. Well I dont have cooking wine, and my grandma said use balsamic vinegar instead. I mixed it together and the ribs are marinating on them but I wonder how they will turn out.

Well, balsamic vinegar is okay. If your grandma has experience cooking with it then I think you should follow her advice.
