I don't eat much ice cream but decided to splurge on some tonight as I'm feeling the warm weather today somewhat in the house even with the A/C on in the next room while I sit here in the bedroom with it only half way reaching in. I took the last fat free blueberry muffin I had left, and I cut up a banana and added it and put the ice cream around it in a bowl. I know that defeats the purpose of the fat free muffin but I just had to, and it tasted really good. I thought I would treat myself as I had to eat very little last week after my surgery. Do you ever do silly things like that. Take one fat free item and make it alot less fat free by adding other things with more calories? I don't do it often but it was actually better than I thought it was and the last thing I eat til tomorrow morning.

Sometimes it's just good to "commit a diet crime", and I love experimenting with my food. Last time I felt like eating ice-crea, but I didn't have any. So I took a box of natural yogurt, the unflavored one, poured some fruit syrup in it (it was orange. I believe), stirred it well, put a spoon in it and put it in the freezer. Some hours later... ice-cream heaven! (and it still could be eaten as yogurt if someone doesn't want to freeze the thing).

I think so too. It isn't like I'll be doing that all the time. Plus I was hungry too. I often take plain yogurt and add my own fruit, and possibly some honey too. Sometimes make a smoothie out of it. You can also put this in some kind of container to make ice cream of some sort in the freezer. Like you said, you just made your own ice-cream heaven!

diet crime! i love how you say it to make me feel less guilty for eating too much of them. however, i prefer to eat it it frozen and since it's hard to find fresh ones here, i'll go for nestle yogurt ^^

hi nailtech usually I eat that flavorless fat free sugar free vanilla ice cream the care taker gives but when she is not on then I opt for whatever real ice cream the rest are having. Pistachio ice cream is one of my favorites along with maraschino cherry ice cream. I may be diabetic but this is only s ay once
a week that i do at times splurge.![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

LOL, the care giver knows what is best Hatley but I know what you mean. The real stuff tastes better. It is so hard to eat like that when others are enjoying themselves with other food, but it is only for your own benefit, and might extend your years. Many people have to abide by these diet kinds of eating habits, it is a challenge for you I'm sure to accept. MMM, pistachio and marashino cherry. Yummy! I hope the once a week splurge does OK with you. My folks are both diabetic and they eat sugary foods everyday when they shouldn't. So you are doing better than them. Way to go! ![](/Content/images/emotes/thumbup.gif)

Its really so depressing sometimes when you realize that you've eaten too much of sweet which made you gain weight. But its priceless when you eat you cravings. Thats why I just do exercise and increase my routine everytime I eat too much of cravings.

feeling hungry in the middle of the night is so dangerous! I try so hard not to go to the kitchen even though I am feeling hungry at night. I should stock lots of fruits since I stay up a lot these days and you totally gave me ideas on sinful late night snacks ^^
