I bought Marco 2 heads of celery. 2 bushes of carrots, 2 heads of lettuce, and 1 bush of dandelion leaves. I brought them home and i cut them up then store them in tupperware dishes. Well I ended up throwing literally half of all of them away because they were rotten., veggies arnt cheap especially since I had to drive 20 minutes there and back plus the cost of them. I wont feed him rotten veggoes, and I mean its not a little piece its all inside (they look healthy outside but once you riup them apart and get to the core). Now I have to probably buy more veggies by the end of the week for him as half of these were rotten.

We go to market once a week to buy fresh vegetables, fruits, meat and fish. Sometimes, we also experience buying vegetables and fruits that look like fresh outside but is already close to rotten inside. SO I am very particular with what I am buying. Especially that we have a little son to feed on them. I don't cut them immediately. I peel and cut them right before cooking or eating.

Usually the veggies I get for my rabbit can keep up to 2 weeks in the fridge, pre cut in a container (if stored properly). But this was already rotten from the store, I brought them home and cut them up immediately and half was rotten. So if you put it in the fridge in a few days the entire thing would be garbage. I salvaged what I could, but it would be more money out of my pocket to return it, and its already ripped up. So I am emailing head office and complaining.

Should have gone back straight away to complain that they are selling customers rotten veggies. That's just disgusting. Or just don't buy from them again and find someone else that sells fresh since it's a 20 minute drive. That is disappointing though

I didnt know until I got home and I would of had to drive 20 minutes back, then 20 minutes back home just to return them then drive around more to get more veggies. It would be more money out of my pocket that I dont have. I am emailing head office and complaining.

Oh yeah of course better idea if it's a big company. They better give you some reimbursement for that!

hiRicki did you have them in the fridge in the crisper drawer? sometimes moisture can get in and cause them to spoil too
quickly. Cutting them up ahead of time too can cause them
to spoil qu icker but too they might not have been as fresh
in the store as onw would. Hope you will have better luck
next inkeeping them safe.

I just boughten them, and cut them up. Usually last about 2 weeks cut up in the fridge. But I just bought them tonight, and they were rotten from the store. I think Im going to email customer service and complain. Such a waste of money, and I'm not throwing my money away.

Vegetables easily get rotten. That happened to me a few times also. Now, when I go to the supermarket, I avoid the packaged and sealed ones. A few times in the past, I bought those sealed ones, and when I got home to open it, I found out the vegetables are not fresh anymore. It was not cheap also. Now, I buy the ones that are not sealed so that I can check the whole vegetables personally while in the supermarket.

There have been times that I have had something like this happen when I go to the grocery store. When it has happened to me, I will immediately take the rotten food back to the grocery store and make them replace what I have purchased that was no good. Of course, this really doesn't cost me anything except for my time because of the fact that the grocery store is only a few miles away from our house. I can be to the store and back in a total of twenty minutes, including my time inside the store.

That is too bad about the veggies and they're being rotten when you cut them apart. I have had that happen to me a few times before and with some kinds of fruit as well. It is disheartening and just makes you feel like going back to get a refund or a replacement. Its not right especially with how much food costs these days. I think emailing them would be a good idea, they might send you a coupon for free produce next time you shop there.

Yeah, the same here. I will try to use all the veggies we bought but sometimes I need to throw the veggies away because they are rotten. I think it is because we bought it and have it as a stock for a whole week and some of the veggies get rotten even if I keep them in fridge. I don't like to waste foods but no choice. I won't eat rotten foods.
