Is this a bad sign?

So I had my job interview today. Seemed to go well. Talked to the recruiter first, then the project manager, then the business analyst. Was supposed to talk to the chief information officer next. The PM came back and said he couldn't meet with me, it would have to be another day. I hope he was just really busy, and it wasn't because one of the people who interviewed me went by his office with a big old thumbs down. Time to wait and see... (crossing fingers)

I don't think it is a bad sign at all. I think you just maybe worry too much. You got to see all those important people which is a really really good sign. I think it is reasonable to assume that the chief info officer really was busy. Why would they lie to you? They would just say, "I'm sorry, you didn't get the job." Good luck. I bet you have the job!

Ugh, I haven't been fortunate enough to have an interview yet, but one thing that would tick me off is someone saying "they are busy" if they are not, just to avoid telling em the truth..
That said, I can't tell you if this guy is being truthful or not, I hope he is and that you get this job..If not, then maybe there is something even better for you and this company will miss an opportunity for a great employee...

Maybe because some people are "people pleasers" and can't say something that will hurt another, even if it will be helpful to know there is no chance of a job..I am just guessing though, because I am not sure either..

Probably just busy. I would also wonder if they don't throw you a bit of a curve sometimes just to see how you react. Put out, relieved, that sort of thing.Sounds like a rather busy place anyway. Never know. I hope you get postive news. Fingers are crossed also.

Gosh let's hope not, I think honestly though if he would interested be might just tell you Instead of saying I will get ahold of you the next day because than what's he going to do when tomorrow come keep putting you off? I am sure by now the day is almost over so I will ask if you heard anything from him yet?

I wish you luck. I'm looking again too. I'm not going to try until I get settled in at a new address a few towns away. My son bought some property and invited me to live with him. So, I don't have to share a bedroom with the grandkids toys...lol.
I hope all goes well for you. Gosh, things have really changed for you huh?

Honestly, I wouldn't think that it was a bad sign at all. Instead, I would be the person that would tend to think that the reason that he didn't see me immediately was because of the fact that he was busy at the time and would not have been able to devote the time to me that was needed to figure out if I would be the right fit for the company. There have been some job interviews that I've been to in my life where I am sent home and later called back to talk to someone else.

Stay positive - like you said the interview went well . . . so let's hope for the best!! Who knows - maybe the chief officer just spilled coffee on his/her shirt and was too embarrassed to speak with you - hee hee. Keeping my skating toes crossed for you that you get it!!

I can never read interviews right so if I tried, I'd probably be horribly wrong :-)
I always think the interviews go fine, I think that as long as I get to talk to someone about myself I'm happy ....
Hope it works out OK for you, could be a good sign, busy PM probably means busy company.

The last time, I didn't get the one I thought went bad or the one I thought went well, it was the one I was unsure about. At any rate, I didn't get this one.

Well, the meantime, for starters, I want you my warmest wishes for the heart to all the "place" of work, you become your own.
As to what you wrote, if you think you made a nice conversation and show them exactly your "strong points", I think you'll be also be directly contacted.
Of course I also did several interviews, then the answer was NO. But your case, from what you've described it seems better, and, in a sense favorable.
