Is it right to be a foster parent just to get the extra money each month?

Yeah we all need money but is this necessary? my main concern talkng to a riend today as she discussed with me the reason she was really considering adoption. The money!!! She said a child could help her alot financially. I do not believe that is a good enough reason to adopt. What you think?
