Have you asked yourself that after all the fast changing technology, still your computer boots or open windows same speed as 20yrs ago? Should it supposed to be a lightning fast browsing or lag less process? If you will install an old OS say windows 98 on a new pc, you will experience a superb fast performance. but of course nobody will do such thing. I am just giving you an idea why computer are slow. computer become fast but requirements get high. so speed stays the same.

Its true. What people says that hardware are moving so fast that software are not catching up. But I think its the opposite. Its the software going heavy on hardware and hardware performance are not catching up. The higher the processing speed the more bulky the OS becomes. Like for example I take when i series processor hit the market, vista demanded more room for it on system RAM, which led to its decline. While its the problem with hardware that they are not catching up the development that software is taking on. May be in future supercomputer could not take on Windows OS and would take years to boot up. With new Windows 8 I think it will boot up faster but more the features the more it takes to boot and higher the performance needed.

yeah that is exactly what is happening. and this hardware and software balance always resulting in an upgrade. pain in the pocket. oh yes that is another one that contribute to slowing down our system, market & business. we do not really get what we are buying because everything we buy is bundled with business strategy. help me with the right term.
