Have you ever had a toothache? How would you describe the pain? Besides having the decayed and aching tooth pulled off, what fast pain reliever can you suggest?

Oil of Clove works great at reducing the pain of a tooth ache!!! I had a friend whose tooth broke off late at night. The nerve was exposed & I gave her some to try. she said it completely stopped the pain until she could get to the dentist the next morning. You might want to try it. Most pharmacies carry it. Just ask the pharmacist. Here a small bottle costs about $3.50 but you don't need to use very much so it lasts a long time. Just put a small dab on your finger & rub it on the tooth & gum...POOF the pain is gone!!! If the pain is severe, I sometimes also take an Aleve just before using the Oil of Clove.

You have absolutely NOTHING to lose by trying it!!! Oil of Clove works wonderfully & I think you will be glad you tried it!!! I keep a bottle in my medicine cabinet for "just in case". I don't have many problems with my teeth,; but when I do, it's always on a Friday night when the dentists are closed for the weekend & I have a 3 day wait!!!

Better you should hold salt water in your mouth for a while to be antiseptic. And then better you go to see doctors to find out what is a reason and they will have a cure for it.

fastest way to relieve from pain is to take pain reliever that are available over the counter. toothache drop are also available in the market. If you refer to a home remedy raw garlic will do. Most traditional uses of garlic to alleviate the pain of a toothache suggest crushing it (to release the allicin) and placing it inside the mouth, right next to the affected tooth. The reason that garlic might be effective in relieving the pain of toothache is almost certainly the allicin - a compound with a powerful antibiotic effect that is released when garlic is crushed. It's possible that this could help to slow down any bacteria or infection involved.

Aloe Vera gel is my choice. I have plants and when I get the pain I just cut a leaf extract the jelly and keep it where the pain is and in minutes it disappears.

Well, fortunately, my teeth, is quite healthy. But do not hide the fact that you have the occasional decayed tooth, and consequently the toothache. Probably (and I'm practically sure) there are painkillers, but I do not know them. When my tooth hurts, and it is a cavity, I have no other remedy than to go to the dentist, and let me heal.

alberello- it's understandable for you not to know about toothache painkillers because of your generally healthy teeth. Keep up the good work maintaining your sound teeth for a more healthy eating. Thanks.

Use a Colgate or a Thermoseal toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Or since ancient days our forefathers recommended a clove oil. Both are equally effective. I have personally experienced its good effects.

Hi Nicanorr, usually the pain is caused by the infection due to decayed tooth. Your dentist may not even want to pull the tooth off until the pain subsides. The best is to avoid cold and hot food and drink. You can take panadol to reduce the pain. The pain is usually worst at night, best to take a couple of panadol just before your bedtime. At least you can sleep soundly.
