Is it good for health? Healthy breakfast ideas.

I read in a site healthy breakfast is good for health but I think this is not good for health. Because some difference should between lunch and breakfast. Is it possible for you to take healthy means more breakfast in morning. What you think it is good.

Hi sis!
For me all the meal times like breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack time or supper they all should be healthy and good for the body. I know that some would like to skip breakfast but it is actually everyone need not to skip their breakfast as breakfast is really important to start the day. it does not mean we should eat more but it depends on our activity. If we eat more but we just sit and do work in front of the computer I am sure we will feel tired and lazy a few minutes later.(^^)(^^)

Yes I skip breakfast daily and direct take lunch. But I know breakfast is good habit but in my home nobody like breakfast they drinks one glass of milk and one chapati with milk. But I drink only milk not like chapati.

No No. you should not skip breakfast. your digestion system has to do more work after lunch and doesn't have work for a long time.
You can try idli -sambar --only two/three idlis -- if you get in your place?--Nagpur? forgotten.

I have also heard that breakfast should be more and lunch should be lighter. it is because after heavy lunch only may not be able to work more in the office/factory. It is said one should not skip breakfast because our stomach will remain empty for a long time. I use to tell this in my classes. I normally see many college students in their laziness -- they get up late from bed-- skip breakfast and take lunch directly around 12 noon.
I take breakfast regularly whenever I go to colleges -- yes. 2 idlis and a cup of coffee. Afternoon we have light lunch.

yes. I have seen in North India -- Delhi -- people take light breakfast -- two.three slices of bread and tea only. This depends on our practice --what our parents have taught us.

Usually in the morning you want to eat something light, but protein packed - like oatmeal with nuts. Then between breakfast and lunch follow up with fresh fruit. You don't want to eat pancakes or anything starchy for breakfast because you bog your metabolism down.

I think good breakfast should include enough protein food likes nuts, eggs, milk or soya-bean milk; staple food likes oatmeal, whole wheat bread; fresh juice or fruit or vegetable. Besides, you'd better take the nutrient food at lunch and eat less at dinner. As to the living habits, I guess you will become more healthy. Do you agree with that?

You should eat small meals all day, not 3 meals. But if you have to eat only 3 meals a day, lunch should be your bigger meal.

Even I think we should have healthy breakfast in the morning time. Becasue after the dinner we sleep for 7-8 hrs. and once we get up, our body is free from all junks and after all our morning fresh-up, we need to have better food to get our body to be energized. Also, it is not recommended a heavy food at lunch time and the dinner can be minimized as it is recommended a light food at nigh.
So from my knowledge, breakfast and lunch can be healthy food as it required the body to enable sustaining power as our body is in active state.

Hi,
Healthy breakfast means something which is good for health and not a junk-stomach filling idea. It is mis-interpreted that healthy breakfast and heavy break fast. Normally, a fruit juice, or something light snacks along with a glass of milk is good enough for the same. We all have the habit of eating 4-6 chappathis, subji, tea and something else also as breakfast.
Rightly, for lunch also there is no need for a heavy lunch. If we consider a meger food at all times will be good enough to maintain good health and many are preferred to have too much junk food as healthy food, especially, most of the Indian people concept is the same.
Also, if we don't take breakfast, there are chances of acidity and if we observe it for a long period of time, we will face health problems also. One of my friend who is working with me never take any breakfast except one glass of tea, and about 6-8 moths before he fell down on the railway station and admitted to hospital. There by styding his case, the doctor come to know that he never eat anything till 1:00 noon for the last 10-15 years. So, the doctor advised him to continue breakfast as usual and now he is stable and ok. So, it is not advisable to avoid breakfast as it is mandate for our health.

We were thought by our parents that breakfast is the most important meal in a day. Have you read about the saying eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner as a pauper? They also say that by not eating breakfast, our brain suffers. Let us say that we had our dinner at 8 PM and went to sleep at 10 PM. After hours of sleeping, you will wake up in the morning with empty stomach. It is essential that before going to work or school or doing our daily routine, we should feed ourselves a good breakfast because that would help our brain to function properly. We need to regain energy to prepare our body and mind for our daily activities. I usually leave home without eating breakfast but I definitely eat once I arrived at the office because not eating breakfast in the morning or skipping meal would really cause me headache literally. I can't work properly when I am hungry and with aching head.

Hmmm you are right breakfast is important meal in a day. But still in some houses like my house no breakfast is allowed. Only take biscuit with tea and direct lunch. Some time feel hungry but no chance because not make any breakfast.

Ohhhh my God I was remembering you when read my old discussions sunday special observation and now you are here nice your age will be till 100. Hmmmm you are right my sweet friend breakfast is necessary but I take only biscuit with tea no other breakfast. Because in my house cant make breakfast directly lunch on 2 O'clock or 1 O'clock.

your daily meal should always be healthy. it may be either breakfast or luch meal. but keep balancing. morning belly remains empty so it is necessary to have some healthy food but easily digestive. therefore breakfast should include more liquids like milk, juices, milkshakes etc. and fruits. heavy diet should be avoided in the morning.

You are right friend balance is necessary in meal or in breakfast both. Otherwise our diet may be unbalance and lots of disease may come.

I have to disagree and say that in my opinion (as is the opinion of most health agencies) eating a good breakfast is VERY important for our health.
There is an old saying in the UK "breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper"
So many people do not eat breakfast but they really should After a long period without eating a persons blood sugar levels will be low and so eating breakfast is very important and can actually help you lose weight by kick-starting your metabolism. If you skip breakfast it can mean your body will start to crave something sweet and you'll end up snacking on unhealthy foods. I have lost 110 pounds over the last year and I have found that if you start the day with a filling and nutritious meal you will not only give your metabolism a kickstart but you'll feel full until lunchtime with no temptation to snack your way through the morning.
Some studies have also shown that eating breakfast with protein and carbohydrates can make you more alert and assertive to face the day.
If you are someone who 'can't' eat breakfast you should really try to overcome the reasons not to have breakfast and make it part of your day.
If you're too busy in the morning, prepare as much as you can the night before.
If you can't stomach anything first thing try a little fruit until a little later.
Get into the habit of trying different dishes at breakfast and enjoy it!
