I am done with the pursuit of a life partner. They say when you are not looking it just happens. Well, I am serious when I say that I am really not looking. I believe in love, but will everyone have the love of a lifetime? I guess we have our lifetime to find out. Life is short, and romance has taken a backseat to finance. When one does find a significant other, it has proven to be unwise sometimes to work too much. I have no choice but to work vey hard to build my business. I guess it is my real love.

Well, adforme, I say maybe everyone have his/her own chance(s) in life.
But according to my and some others I know (both genders) experiences, "not looking for" do not increase the chances to just happen.
Sure, is not a bad idea to seek something more doable, more fit to get progress in your life.
But as long as periodically you remember about and say to yourself twice a day / 3 times a month that "not looking anymore and the knight in white armour will appear" means you still want to look for.
Else, drainin your energy 100% towards practical things, that may be a good choice.
And, if you ask me, is a far better choice than trying to find "the other half".
Just go for your karma. Let aside the so called life partner. Be a solid presence in society (all point of views) and THAT is what MAY reveal to you potential candidates to a place in your life.

NO !!!
Never let anything go by itself uncontrolled.
Side note - you know why special commando troops are better than regular soldiers ? Because they:
1- they schedule all and keep things as sheduled
2- never let anything goes uncontrolled
3- they keep checking and re-checking everything
Same is with life. Do not let anything go random.
And more:
DO NOT ELIMINATE PERSONAL & SOCIAL LIFE. Is a must.
Make a program, a timetable, few hours a week. Get a dog and alk him in park 30 mins eery morning and evening, go out in town with some friends at least once a month for 2-3 hours, go to parties and stuff.
The key is that when you are on biz stuff, do not anything else to mix and deviate your attention from biz. Same for the time of socialization - do not alllow biz to take over.

Same with you, I think I have found my love of a lifetime. She is a very special girl with her unique characteristics which really stands out from the rest. I agree with your ststatement that true love has been affected by finance or put it in a more casual word, money. I don't think I will look for anyone else and I really hope the day would come for us to exchange rings and kisses each other.

Hello squallming. It sounds like you are on your way to something really special. Just keep it in perspective. Relationships take work and both parties need to work to make it work. Good luck to you both, and I hope the rings and kisses are in your futures very soon.

For this sentence:romance has taken a backseat to finance.I can not agree with you any more, and I have a deep feeling about that,it is a very unpleasant experience and that is also why I still single, but any how,I still believe that I will find my true love some day.
