constipation, reason for my health problem.

I have always had constipation problem and i used to ignore it, but now since i am becoming fatter by the day, I have realized that it is due to constipation. friends if you have any home remedy for constipation then do let me know. Do you have this problem anytime?

Riyauro. Hello. This is quite personal, and I would like for you to find some relief. Do you see a doctor from time to time. It is always good to get a professional opinion on such matters. If you are able to schedule an appointment with your doctor, he or she may offer you not only a solution, but diagnosis for what may be your issue(s). In the meantime, I would not take any medication without the advice of your doctor. I would suggest a healthy diet and adequate water consumption. Good Luck and get well soon.

I agree that the doctor's office is not a place one goes to for fun. Doctors are of many competencies. Some are good, some are bad, and some should be sued. I just think that if you are having a problem that persists; a doctor may help you to understand why. You choose how far to go with what he recommends, but know what you can't do on your own and get help for that.

I hate going to doctors. I don't believe in the medication they give. Mostly it is correct but i am just not into this doctor thing. I have seen many doctors give wrong medicines to people which has lead to deaths and disaster. It was that, before doctors used to be the smartest people but today, anybody is becoming doctor because they have money to be a doctor and they are not that smart. So they happen to make mistakes like this. For myself, I have not been to a doctor for ages now.
And one more thing to add to this. Here in India or maybe in Fiji also which I am not aware of, when we go to the doctor, they tell us to do all the check ups which is not needed. They will send you to the have blood test done, sonography and other things, just to get commissions from these tests. It has become a money making business. And I don't want to be a victim of this.

Hello,
This is a serious problem. I think constipation is a symptom not a disease. I do some research also about this in the internet. It's better and cheaper to use some effective and natural constipation remedies. First I suggest you have to check your diet,because dairy foods,processed foods,junk foods can cause constipation.:( Drinking 8 glasses of water is a great help. Exercise regularly, eat fruits and vegetable rich in fibers. :) Take vitamin supplements..

Be careful with vitamin supplements as a vitamin with Iron will constipate you worse than you are now. That's why women on prenatal vitamins have a huge problem with this. Take a vitamin but one without Iron.

Thank you for the advice litvillegas, I need to do as you said because I can see am getting fatter because of this constipation. I started drinking hot water with lemon juice in the morning before breakfast. It is kind of help. I used to eat lot of dairy products as well, and now i have completely stopped. Water i have to drink lots now. Thank so much. have a good day

As others said water is very important. I would suggest you to eat two teaspoons of pollen every day - one in the early morning and one in the late evening. You can mix them with a small cup of yogurt in you want to. Also eating sweet fruits would help you, they have natural sweetness inside, not fake as the sugar is.
Have in mind that this problem is very dangerous. My grandfather was in hospital was year about having slow intestines. He had difficult to go to the toilet every day. Of course he is on age, which is also dangerous, but it all depends on the way of living and how much it effected the body. He was drinking tea to help him go to the toilet.
Now mom is preparing only healthy foods about him, because if he miss to go in the toilet one day, it gets dangerous for his intestines to stop working again. Doctors said there is no blood there to help them work properly.
He eats mostly vegetables meals, like soups, and not so many meat as before. Not heavy foods which are hard for the stomach to absorb them.
Mom is making him one dessert a day - a cup for coffee, filled with yogurt, honey, fibers and little cinnamon for taste, but also the cinnamon is useful for helping the blood move easier.

Just to share with you a thing about the teas provoking us to go to toilet. Don't drink much of them, because they are making our intestines thinner.
Now my grandfather is drinking one small package of tea, the one people put for one cup of tea, in one liter water. Just to change the taste of the water.

I never have constipation,,lucky me. Here some traditional medication you may try at home, I copied from my uncle's book :D
1. 1/2 aloe vera: wash, peel and mince, mix with glass of hot water, add 2tsp honey, drink 2x a day. Not for pregnant mom, woman in menstrual, and diarrhea.
2. Young pineaple can help your constipation, peel and wash, eat.
3. finely grinded Wild Ginger with mustard seed, add some water, squezee/juice, the drink.
4. Grate 2 ripe Nonis, add some salt, mix, squeeze/juice, drink 2x a day

I'm surprised no one suggested simple fiber. You are obviously not getting enough of it. Try some Metamucil or Benefiber once or twice a day. Follow the directions on the packages. You will be regular in no time.

Just drink 8 glasses of water everyday, eat lots of greens or fiber like vegetable and fruits and be active/exercise so your bowel movement will work. Do this thing and you will do good. Good day and God bless

I've had that experience before, and I would suggest that drinking a lot of water everyday is actually the best and cheapest remedy for it, but sometimes due to prolonged constipation still it is difficult for us to eliminate. Eat more fruits and foods that are rich in Fiber. If all of these doesn't work try using Laxative, suppository.. and if nothing happens.. I guess you should consult your doctor about it.. because it can be a major problem eventually..

As mentioned by others, eat healthier, more green and more water would help.
For me, I had constipation problem before, and finally overcome it. I eat too less and of coz I had constipation problem. When I became older and I were afraid I would become fatter and ate lessen, and it turned out that I became much fatter and my health was poor. I started to care myself and have proper meals, all this constipation problem never happens again.
