Which sport do you play/watch?

Hey there everyone. I think everyone in the world has a sport, if they play it or if they just watch it. So my question for you is... What is your sport? Here are the sports that i enjoyed. Basketball: I used to like basketball before when I was young. Here in the Philippines most people like basketball and my mom and sisters used to be basketball fanatics. I never watched an NBA match but I was able to watch some Asian Games basketball. So I learned more about basketball and I started to like it. We had a ring on our tree and my grandparents bought me a basketball so I used to practice some shots outside. I used to play so long and sometimes my siblings would join and we would have a fun game. Biking: Before we had three bikes. Dad used to borrow our neighbors bike and he and my three oldest siblings would go biking outside on the streets. They went far in the city to some malls and places. I always wanted to go out with them but I didn't know how to bike. So I started practicing how to bike. I got many wounds and i destroyed a badminton racket one time while trying to bike. I was still young back than so I don't remember so clearly but one by one our three bikes got destroyed. The smallest bike just had a bad flat tire so we put it in the stockroom and forgot it for many years. Then all of a sudden a great idea game to my brother mind. Because my mothers work is at night and me and my brother bring her through the road until she finds a jeepney (a public transportation vehicle). So we don't really like to be spotted outside at night by our neighbors (I'm not really sure why we don't want to be seen), so we needed something that will make us go home faster. And my brother said "Why don't we fix the bikes??" Haha. That was a great idea. We bought new tires for one bike and the other my brother had to really fix and it took a long time. Right now we are still biking, but currently my bike's tire exploded and i'm not really sure when it will be fixed. Football: I love football. Not American Football but football soccer. It is currently my favorite sport and i see no reason why it will change. I love the beautiful game. I'm not sure when it started really. But I remember long, long time ago. I just knew so little about football, all i knew was that you have to use your feet to put a ball inside a net. So one time long ago me and my siblings tried playing a little football. We were still so young and I don't remember much, but i think we were playing horrible anyway haha. Football disappeared after that until 2010. So here in this house we have chores to do. One of them is scrubbing the floor. Me and my siblings didn't like scrubbing the floor. So one time we decided to just kick the scrub around the floor and play football. We had so much fun playing that day, although i believe that the floor was not well scrubbed. haha. Since we loved playing football with a scrub inside the house we decided to play football outdoors with a basketball (the same basketball my grandparents gave me). I had already quit basketball that time because I was scared of our neighbors and the ring is very near my neighbors house and i'm scared to go there. So we played football with a basketball. We had so much fun so we decided to take it to the next level. We bought a real soccer ball, soccer shoes, soccer outfits and goalie gloves. I love football so much. So we played everyday. Haha. And right now i'm injured because i sprained my ankle.. :( I never really watched football matches until the 2010 World Cup. And after that i learned more about football. I already posted my story with getting to know more about European football. Badminton: When I was very young we had a badminton net on our yard. So me and my siblings used to play! I was getting good at it. A few years ago me and my siblings joined a small tournament. We knew everyone on the tournament and everyone knew us. Me and my sister were on one team and my brother and other sister were on another. I will remember that tournament so much because my brother and sister won the Amateur tournament and me and my sister wowed everyone. Nobody knew that we play badminton and me and my sister wowed everyone. We lost all our games but one but we became famous for a while. Haha. A few months ago me and my siblings used to go to badminton courts and play there. Sometimes my sister would invite her friend. Other Sports: I have tried many other sports including Volleyball, Baseball, American Football and cricket. But I never took them seriously. SO what are your sports?

Hi like you I am also interested in many sports. CRICKET I love cricket so much, I never miss any match which India is playing because I am an Indian and I play cricket well, I am an all rounder(pace bowler and middle order batsman), After I got job it is very difficult to play cricket because of less time and insufficient players. BASKET BALL I am very interested in this game, I regularly watch this game while my brother is playing this game, my brother is champion in this game but unfortunately my brother's ligament tore while playing this with his school friends, so he is now unable to play that game. Badminton Everyday I am playing this game, I participated in many competitions in school, college, now in office and won many, keep on playing this. Soft ball(same as base ball but the rules are different) I played this in my school days, really enjoyed this game while schooling and participated and won the cup in inter school competition. Ball badminton This game also I played in school days, I am the captain(centre player) for the team. I am starting to watch foot ball in TV now and understanding this because in India so many people don't aware of this sport. And just for curiosity what is the difference between American football and football soccer?

Ohh. I heard that Cricket is very popular in India. But I've never watched cricket. I have no idea how to play it. But my distant cousin is a cricket player. Maybe I'll ask him how to play. What is ball badminton? Do you mean volleyball? The one there's a net and a ball and the players try to push the ball to the other side of the net. And if the ball hits the ground than the other team will have a point? Oh. The difference between American football and Football soccer is this. American football is a game with a ball (shaped something like an egg) that is colored brown is used by big players who use their hands. They try to run with the ball into the touchdown without being caught by their opponents. I don't really understand American Football but that's what I know about it. European football or football soccer is a game with a round ball and the players use any part of their body except their hands (most of the time they use their feet). They have to put the ball inside a net which is being guarded by a goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is the only player in the game who can use his hands. He uses it to push out shots that are coming and punch out balls from crosses. So you said that you are starting to watch football. Which football are you watching? American or soccer?

Oh.. So Ball badminton is something like tennis but there are more players and the rackets are different. Is this sport (ball badminton) only found in India? I watched some videos of it and the players all seem to be Indian.

yeah got it so American football same like rugby and I am watching soccer only and I impressed by messy for his excellent movement in the ground. No, ball badminton is different than volleyball but the number of players for both these games are same, I think non Indians don't about this game. This is the racket game, played with a yellow ball made of wool on a court of fixed dimensions divided by a net and these rackets are made of wood.

well.. you don't always need a trainer to learn how to play a sport.. some of the best players in the world started off just playing freestyle in their yard or at a friends house.. I think with the modern technology.. with the internet that is.. we could all learn a sport without any trainer.. but if you really want to take the sport seriously, I think that's when you should get a trainer.. but if you just want to have fun with a sport.. you can use the internet to teach you.. it's really cool. I learn my soccer tricks from the internet.. and if you practice a lot .. you can actually become good. :)So for you.. tennis.. you just need to buy a racket and a ball and you can even practice on the wall if you like.. then later maybe you could find some people in your neighborhood who play tennis too.. then you could make friends with them and play together in your free time.. it's really not impossible to learn a sport you love without a trainer.. that's the basic idea that I'm trying to give out here.. If there's a will, there's a way.

hello, I watch all kind of sport starting from soccer to cricket to lawn tennis to mostly everyhting that comes on TV. I have many favourite players like Lionel Messi in soccer, sachin tendulkar in cricket and roger federrer in tennis. I just love to watch them play. But when it comes to playing myself I only preffer soccer. I just love this game. I play soccer very well. I am a striker and I just love to play ball all the time. I cannot control myself whenever I see a football lying around.

Haha. You play for a club? Me too I can't control myself when i see a ball lying around. I have to either pass it to someone nearby, walk with it or just do a small trick. I like Lionel Messi too. I don't watch cricket and i've heard of roger federrer. By the way, did Federrer win the Wimbledom tennis thing?

I seem to think that it depends on what country you live in and what culture your country has to which sports you play. For example I live in a rural area of the UK so I mainly play Soccer, Cricket and Rugby. Where as if i had grew up in mainland Europe i perhaps may have never played cricket and rugby, it would have been something else. I am the sort of person that will attempt any sport and give it a go regardless of whether I would be any good at it, as i believe sports bring lots of great things out of people which you may never see if competitive sports didn't exist.

I'm not really sure it depends on country. When I started playing football it was nearly impossible to find somebody that knows about football. Football here in the Philippines suddenly boomed when our national team won vs Vietnam. It was a huge upset and it was rank no. 9 most shocking things that happened to the world of football, according to a blog I read. And I agree with you. Sports bring great things.
