I just started learning how to play the guitar! I'm learning how to play Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. Do you think I will learn faster if I learn the chords first then try a song after or just learn song by song? And is it better to start learning with a strumming song instead of plucking?
And is there any way to change the chords faster? Like a technique of some kind..... idk.. anything??

When i was just starting to play guitar I just searched for some easy songs (that I liked) on the internet, that's the most important thing in my opinion. Learn songs that you actually like.
When learning chords, just do it over and over again. And when you're holding a chord and you want to change to an other chord, start strumming and visualize your next chord. And when you think you're ready, try to change the shape "as fast as you can". Anyway there is no need in rushing things, you'll get there eventually :) and if you try to rush things you might learn bad habbits!

I started learning the guitar song by song instead of memorizing the chords. I think it is better if you do it song by song since it playing a song in whole piece would give you a sense of accomplishment rather than memorizing each chords and no song or rhythm to listen to. I mean you cannot feel much a accomplishment if it's all chords and no song.
