When I was a child we used to watch this show called the Jeffersons. I loved that show it had Sherman Hemsley as Mr Jefferson. He was the owner of a dry cleaners and his wife and him moved on up to a nice apartment. There were racial tensions on the show and there were many things that Mr Jefferson did that would make you turn your head today. I really enjoyed watching his antics in that show. I was saddened today when I read that he had passed away. Do you remember that show do you remember watching it and most of all do you remember how that show got started what show it was a spin off too? This is a sad day and he will be sorely missed. RIP Mr Jefferson.

It was very sad to see he had passed. He lived here in my home city of El Paso, TX. He was well loved here, and he was a really nice guy. He'd wave often and he always shopped at a grocery store called Albertsons. He was quite a guy, and one who was very well loved and respected. I remember seeing him at the store once and that smile was just unforgettable. I used to watch The Jeffersons when I was little. The Jeffersons was a spin off of the show Mamas Family I think it was. Like I said I was very little back then, but I do remember.

You are so lucky to have gotten to see him in person. I am sure his smile was contagious and that is something that this world will truly miss about him. What I loved about that show was his wife and how even though he thought he wore the pants you could clearly tell it was her that wore the pants in that family. LOL just thinking about it brings a smile to my face.

I remember the guest appearances that he use to make. It was really good to see the humorous views that he had. I liked the show the Jefferson's and watched them as often as I could. He was a wonderful actor and will be missed by many.

The Jeffersons was a spin off of All in the Family. I loved Sherman Hemsley. I was sad to hear that he passed away. May he rest in peace.
