Moving is such a PAIN!

Packing is a pain in the butt. Every time I do this I wonder "when did we get so much stuff?!" So many boxes. Then you end up packing something you want to use... or you realize you forgot to pack something you wanted to go in a certain box with other things... Plus the cats don't like the boxes everywhere. Then the driving. 1100 miles with cats that hate to travel is going to be so much fun, I'm sure. Then since we're only leaving the area for a year there's a matter of "What do we store, what do we take, are we going to have enough room in our vehicles for that??" This is not a cheap venture either... I'm glad we've got jobs waiting for us at the new location! A year from now we get to pack up and move back... I could definitely do with out all of this! Just a little rant... if you've got any tips to make moving (especially moving with cats) easier, please, let me know!

I absolutely agree with you. What differs with our situation is our location and distance.... I don't need to travel so far.I symphatize since packing things and arranging it again when you arrived to your new place is really such an exhausting tasks to perform.Good if you have money for you can easily asks someone to help you in the process but if it,then i guess you have to sacrifice.

I like cats but never having one. But I already moved for 4 times in my life. And I do not think I am able to do it once more. What we did every time we move were pack based on the utilization priority. So that, the most important thing for daily life can be accessed. And the other thing will stay safe in the box until we need it. But do not forget to write down note on the box, to give a picture what is in the box. Even now, it is already 2 years after move, I still have box that is not yet opened and rearrange. A lot of thing need to rearrange every time we move. For the cats, I am sorry, they should keep the stress for a while. Because, for me, as human, moving is also stressful. Cheer on.

I've never moved in my entire life, but I can feel how frustrating it is. Even for a 5-day trip I get super insane about what to pack and how it's gonna fit into my bags. What to think about, what to leave at home. As I know myself, I'm sure I would leave home/forget to take basic stuff like toothpaste or bowls, and I'm gonna moan over how I miss them. And moving is lurking around the corner, as my boyfriend would really like me to move in with him :).
