Oh yes I have one night we where eating out at restaurant and we got my daughter grill cheese and fruit for dinner well she wouldn't eat her grill cheese unless I dipped it in my sausage gravy I had for my biscuits. My husband was saying eww I told him hey people dip there grill cheese in a lot of things that I don't like, like ketchup, or soup.

I've never tried the grill cheese dipped in sausage gravy but it might be good lol, I always tell myself "dont knock it til you try it" Besides sushi i will NEVER eat that.
And i dont see that grill cheese would be good with ketchup, now with tomato soup YES :) its divine.

I like grill cheese just the way it is but that is me. Everyone eats a lot of things differently. I like hash browns with ketchup but that is kind of common. I've seen my brother do grits with jelly and butter together. I'm like you don't knock it till you try it. I don't like fish so I know I wouldn't like sushi. I've tired duck and i don't like it I've even tried it several times and still I just don't like it.

Doesnt sound odd to me. I made fishsticks for my 7 year old tonigh.
i made him fish sticks and corn, but i thik he would have liked what you made more.
I have the one fruit or veggie with every meal rule. he hates that.
The oddest combo I have made for him would be noodles and parm.

That's not a weird combination. However, it's not a very healthy one, either--not if that all came out of packages.
Kids will eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Kids aren't born lusting for boxed mac 'n' cheese and fish sticks. They eat what their parents feed them. This can set them up either for a lifetime of healthy eating or unhealthy eating.
I don't do "kids' food" when cooking for children--boxed mac 'n' cheese, frozen pizza, hot dogs. Instead, I cook beautiful, healthy food that is visually appealing and tasty. The same will be true when I have my own children.
