this is a mid-year resolution, and with that i hope it will bring less failure than the new-year ones have raked up a reputation for.
this year i moved to a new town to help my health and im trying to live a happier life and a healthier life.
moving in to august i am starting new courses towards my degree, i want to take my dog for two big walks each day, and lose 5 pounds. i will cut down my soda intake in favor for water, and cut out fast food, pizza and my favourite tim hortons.
i will save money, pay off my debt at least 100$ a month, and try to earn more per day on mylot though this will be secondary to my courses.
anyone else want to jump in on a mid-year resolution?

I’ve never heard of mid-year resolutions before but sure why not. I need time to think about this though if its ok, another month or so maybe. My planning if any these days tends to be what will I do tomorrow, for usually it is just an everyday routine. On the other hand this might be an excellent idea.
You have selected all good goals. Fast food in general is not good for you and I find things like pizza can vary in quality. They can be made well. I’ve ordered a veggie one and have consumed something that was excellent but you never know as it depends on the cook. Sorry, to hear you had a fallen out with your boyfriend Tim.

ya why do we have to wait to jan to make a change, even a small one. i think that midyear resolution could be a good idea to combat the daunting task of 1 whole year of commitment.
and it is often fast food is poor quality, a pizza i got from papa johns was disgusting and this is reason enough to never order there again. but i dont want to put that in my body if not forever than at least much less than i do now. it is very easy convienent and tasty but its worth the extra 30min of cooking if it means living 10yrs longer from not having that heart attack.
i like that cutting out the foods will help my pocket change as well as my health. 2 birds 1 stone.

It is a really good idea and I might consider it serious too, sure why not. I like eating out but then the price is such a factor. Even food in the grocery store is high though. I used to like grabbing a bag of ready made salad but now it seems too expensive and not as good if I just grab everything I need and make it myself.
These things are nothing more than habits anyway and after ten days they say you can change one so yes why not.

My goals for the fall is:get more orders to my job and perhaps find a better job, earn more extra money from mylot and others, have a more happier and healthier life, set up a foundation for the last year, rise all kinds of ability by myself and make me more competitive, and so on.
But the most important thing is:keep my mood cheerful, cause any time spent being unhappy is wasted.

these sound like all great goals, and you're right life needs to be a happy affair. ive spent a lot of my life unhappy, depressed and this year is my new beginning. thats a great thing to focus on because every other accomplishment or goal wont be satisfying if you arent happy in your life.
all the best!

Wish you all the luck in the world for this resolution. you seem to have quite on your plate with your share of things to achieve. Resolutions never work for me as i always try to forget them.
Would rather advise you to work towards your health like cutting down on junk and soda. Everything is acheivable and possible if you have a healthy lifestyle.
