Kids nowadays know a lot about the current tech and are experts when it comes to computers. Kids love to use software and play games. But, why dont they like to MAKE games? Its understandable that programming languages are hard. But once you are familiar with the basics, it becomes quite fun. One software I found was Scratch http://www.scratch.mit.edu which will make kids accustomed to various programming concepts as well as allow them to publish their projects online. Can you give me some more suggestions?

I know the reason why i have never coded any games or other softwate and thats because i was never taught how.My computer education mostly of learning how to use programmes such as the microsoft office programmes a little design work and how to use the web effectively. Our learning was geared mainly for us to be able to use computers in our studies and if we worked in an office once we left school. This is a shame as i would have found the lessons much more engaging if we actually got to make something i might have got more than just a basic pass.At the moment i am trying to teach myself a bit of coding so far i have coded a simple website with html.Im definitely going to try that website you mentioned to see if it helps.

This is great idea to create game by kids and play. Kids always like playing games and this concept attracts to programming languages. It's better for kids to learn basic concept of games and create game without coding and programming language. I suggest sploder.com website that helps to make fun with game creation and it doesn't require programming. Once a kid learn about this basic concept then we can learn the concept of programming.
