For all Filipinos here on myLot, more specifically, to those who've already applied for an RCBC bankard and got approved, I wanna know how long it took you to get the card. I just applied for a classic Visa bankard 7 days ago and I'm just wondering how long should I wait more. I've been reading some posts on the internet regarding this but they were posted way back 2009. Who knows, maybe RCBC's acceptance criteria changed already, I'm not sure.

How long did you get your unionbank card after you applied?

I also don't have a RCBC card, but I do have a VISA and MASTERCARD from different banks. It's been with me for a couple of years now. I got my VISA about 2 weeks after I was told that I'm approved; my MASTERCARD got released about a week I applied (but then I was already pre-approved because I'm a depository of that bank). I don't know if all banks have the same standard set for credit card processing from receipt of application to actual release. But according to my friend who works at the bank, expect a call from the bank within 1 week for further verification of your application, another week max for another call informing you whether you're approved or not (usually though they only call when it's approved) and just 3-4 working days before you can claim the actual credit card. RCBC might take longer procedure-wise but then it will only be a matter of a few days' difference.
I think RCBC Bankard have their hotline which you may call so you can get an update to the status of your application. It wouldn't hurt to try if you're really antsy for the result.

Well it's been 6 days already and zero ring from RCBC so far. I'll give them a call tomorrow, maybe. Yeah, I'm too anxious to recieve that card. I've too many plans for it, not including world domination... yet.

What I applied for was the Anson's Landmark Bankard. I was in Landmark Makati last May and the agent approached me so I filled up the application form right then and there. She has my SSS ID card photocopied and told me to wait for a call. It was a Sunday and quite unexpectedly I got a call from RCBC Bankard the day after, for verification.:) In just a week, I already got the card! :)

Wow, that's fast. I applied for a classic Visa though. I bet that's different from Landmark Anson. This is my 6th day waiting for a call from them and still haven't gotten any. Yeah, I heard that after the call, it'll only be days before you recieve the card.
