What is the minimum acceptable number of friends on facebook?

Don't freak out! If it's any consolation I only had 100+ friends on facebook, and half of them isn't even my real friends. The other half composed mostly of former workmates and classmates and the remaining part is for family and real friends. Any number is fine, unless of course you only have 5. But then that doesn't ean you are freak; people will just assume that either your account is new or that is your fake account. But still, no biggie. I think that you number of friends is pretty much ok. I actually more weirded out if you have like 500 or more friends. But then , it's just me.

I am not sure if there is any limit. I know that 238 is no where near the limit because like many others have said here there are people on there that have over 1000 friends. I know that I will never get over 500 friends there. I do not look for people to add and mostly I just keep my friends and family who are closest to me as my friends on Facebook. If you ever find out for sure, it would be interesting to know how many is the actual limit.

I would have to say that it's unlimited. I know tons of people that have way over a thousand friends and they look perfectly normal. Now on the other hand if you are afraid of seeming like a stalker with so many friends then it is good to keep it low. I only have 93 friends that all share the same interest in music. Although I do not know a lot of them I still consider them friends.

Hello skirankumar90, I think there will be a limit for a number of friends that a user can have. I haven't seen any user having more than 5000 friends. I think they all may be going for the page rather than an individual account .

there is no limits in facebooks. There are people who are haveing 100s, 1000s and lackhs of friends. You can have as many as friends you want. The more friends you have the more times pass you can do in facebook. Enjoy the facebook.

There is a limit. And that's limit is 4837 something like that but not more than 5000. That change happened because, before this change someone in fb had more than 1,00,000 friends in fb another employee at fb. But that showed slower performance of his profile so it was limited to less than 5000.
