people sometimes forget how to keep their families close together...parties,friends,cellphones and other hitech gadgets these are just a few of the things that creates a wall between the parents, their children and keeping their closeness intact..i believe that nothing in this world can replace the value of a family in someones life...

Yeah agreeing with your point of view I would like add some of my words as well. No one in this world wants to live without their family. They like taking care of them and getting cared. But sometimes situation demands something else and we have to adapt to it. No one amongst us want to see our family in pain or away from us but at times you have to, mostly it is for the betterment of all.

I agree, you can never ever replace your family. But sometimes, these walls stem from the mere fact that you can't get to choose who your family is, while you get to choose who to be friends with. Let's face it, there are some family members that no matter how hard we try, we just can't simply get along (this usually happens to extended family). And the only thing that keeps us from telling them off is the blood and name that we share with them.
But them again, blood will always be thicker than water; we may not always like who are we related with but we have a duty and moral obligation to give them the respect, love and concern that is due them because we're still family, afterall. Without them, we wouldn't be here at all somehow.

it is true when you said that about family and family values. I see that some kids are always playing computer games and on the net and don't have time to even talk to their parents, though they live under one roof. My cousin who used to go to work and come back in the evening, she never used to sit with the mother and have a nice conversation. They were only 2 of them. Her mother used to tell me that she is not saying even hello. Morning was hurry and evening when she comes she goes inside her room and on the computer or phone. I felt so sorry for my aunt. she felt very lonely.
