beats or the lyrics..

in this time of unlimited remixes..what actually the generation wants..?? slow songs with graceful and beauteous lyrics or the ones to put your dancing shoes on..?? whats your opinion..what you favor and have always been..?? which among the above is better and why..??

i believe lyrics are extremely important and also the beat to hit the floor. i think both are important to their end. i depends on the mood and situation and mind set. i guess?

Hmm very hard decision I love my r'n'b, pop and so on but ballads really speak to me. Can I say that I like both? The lyrics to ballads sometimes are very beautiful and thoughtful. Although I'm not saying that other genre's can't be thoughtful, I'm just saying that sometimes it does seem that way. On the other hand I really enjoy music that has a really good beat. I listen to foreign music and sometimes look up the lyrics but it's mostly for the beat and the way the music sounds to me. :)

For me, lyrics are really important. But that doesn't mean a faster song can't have really unique and smart lyrics. Especially some alternative rock songs, they are not slow, but have lyrics like poems. As for slow or fast, I can't decide. It depends on my mood, the melody, the beat...
