FPJ declared as National Artist

As i was browsing on my yahoo homepage, I stumble upon this breaking news : Aquino confirms National Artist award for Fernando Poe Jr. Here is the link for more information : http://yahoo.com/w/legobpengine/news/fernando-poe-jr--named-national-artist.html?.ts=1343377284&.intl=PH&.lang=en-ph I was really surprised because I haven't heard hearsays from the past days that the National Award will be given to FPJ. I was expecting the name of Dolphy :)) Anyways, FPJ deserved the award .

hi blebchel, I heard it in the news I found it useless there is no using giving this award to think this is one of the highest award that an artist can get. I also heard that if you are awarded with National Award you will get some money from it I think this is one of the reasons why they don't give it to the person who deserves it. happy mylotting

Wow that's cool. You know I attended FPJ's wake years ago. Not many people knew of his charitable acts as he didn't want his left hand to know what his right hand was doing. Well deserved National Artist Award. Dolphy should have it soon, too.
