A friend of mine whom I have not seen for a couple of months sent me a text message this morning. She asked if I will be available tomorrow. She is inviting me to watch a musical show "Plants vs. Zombies" because she has extra ticket. The ticket will cover one adult and one child so she told me to bring Kirby with me.
Thinking about it made me smile (or laugh???). Years back in college (16 yrs to be exact), we bond by watching movies, going to malls, or just staying somewhere and having some nice laugh trip. Now, we're gonna bond again but already with our kids. It made me realized that time really flies so fast. We are now both moms. But it's good to know that we still have some spare times to be with each other despite the busy life. It's really nice to have a good friendship that lasts a long time... DO you also have this kind of friendship?

Well, I am now in my last year of a bachelor's degree, I had a lot of good friends in the past. However they had not been contacting for more than ten years. I am really disappointed with them. Up till now I still value them as my best friends but they never reply my messages or call that friendly no more. I guess time and space does change a lot of things.

Just like you i have friends for more than 30 years now. One of them is abroad and we only communicate through emails.
They only get to come back to our place once a year and when she does, we really have a splendid bonding time. Though, our children are all grown up and have their own studies to take care of, so it's only us who gets to go out , have fun and have a nice time.
It seems that we don't mind being away from each other the rest of the year.

That's really how friends should be. They know when to give each other space for themselves.

I also have a friend who works in Makati. She only comes home during Christmas. We really see to it that we set a time to see her and with the group.
And just like what you've said, we also don't care and seems like we do not feel that we are separated by distance. Because we also constantly communicate through text messaging and e-mail.

Yes,I have one such experience.I and one of my closest friends fell out during a football match.Thereafter we discontinued to be on talking terms for more than a year. But certainly we both were missing each other. It was just our ego that was preventing us from talking to each other. And then suddenly a miracle took place.I was studying when someone knocked at the door.I opened the door and found my friend standing there.I was stunned, but before I could speak a single word,he came in and embraced me.I can't tell you what a pleasant moment it was.
We are friends till now.

It'll be great to catch up with this person, I hope you two have fun. Are your kids going to be introduced to each other as well? It'll be so neat to see your kids and her kids bonding. Sadly enough, I haven't really kept close contact with any of my old friends on a personal level, they are on my facebook list though.

yes. we did have fun. aside from enjoying the show we've watched (it's really an amusing musical show), we also really had fun chit-chatting. and our kids also. though they did not really bond that well because my child is a 2-yr old boy who loves playing while hers is a 4-yr old girl, a well-behaved kid.

hi aejey,
That is good to know that despite of having a family you and your friends can still do the same thing you are doing during your college days.
Me and my friends trying to bond every time our time can meet.

hello bhabycatch! yes it's really good to have some time with old friends. Though I really cannot give in at anytime because I have my kids to take care of. But I'm just thankful that I was free last Saturday. We did enjoyed the show, and as usual, we still enjoyed each other's company. :)
Thanks!

All my friends are married now and have a family life. Whenever they come over here we do make plans to meet and have good time together. They all have small kids now, but they all manage to come and meet me. I feel very lucky to have such good friends in my life.

Its really good to be reunited again by our long time no see friends. Of course its kinda exciting how he/she looks like now and hows her life already. Just simple chit chat makes you really feel good and reminiscing the memories you had on the times that you both are always together. Nice that you got the chance to see her again.

Yes,I have some good friends since primary school. However,my best friend and I accountered each other in high school.During my high school time,we spent nearly all the time together such as meals or study. When we went to college,we were separated for 4 years. But we always kept in touch with each other.Once I had some difficulties I would talk to her.We shared our happiness and sorrows. Now every time I go home we would spare some time together.I feel very lucky to have her as an intimate friend and I love her.
