It is 23:32 now and I feel sleepy now. Due to the time difference, this ceremony will be broadcast at 4am tomorrow. It is either for me to stay up or wake up early next morning. I am interested in watching this ceremony but I wonder whether I can watch it at last since the time is a problem for me. How about you?

Not unless they change their mind and observe a moment to remember those who lost their lives in the 1972 Munich Massacre.

I am not saying they should not have the ceremony or the games, but to remember those athletes killed, just to take "one minute" is NOT going to hurt anyone...But they refuse because it might "offend" some..

I did. I cheered for China, Kenya, and India, and Philippines. These are where my friends are. The U.S. is only 5 hours behind so I maybe able to see some events live. The T.V. Network that is airing the Olympics will air main events in my primetime. I can't wait to see the gymnastics. If the U.S. Can't win , I hope China does. I know win or lose we will Still be friends.

Youless, i didn't watch the Opening Ceremony of London Olympics direct on that day because of time difference. Since my child is ill, so i prefer not to stay up late. But, i am happy that with the advance technology, i can always watch it through the Youtube. In fact, i had already watched the opening Ceremony through Youtube yesterday. It is indeed very nice and beautiful ceremony.

I don't watch it until today on my computer. It is really a majestic opening ceremony. What impresses me most is that the 86- year- old queen and James Bond actor Daniel Craig were skydiving towards the stadium.

Even though I live in the UK where the Olympics are being hosted this year I will not watch them, I have absolutely no interest in the olympics or any sport. So I won't be watching, however at the gym they have the television on all the time and they have the Olympics, so you can't escape the Olympics even in the gym. All that work, money just for a short period of time. I wish the athletes well but I won't or didn't watch the Opening Ceremony.

Though it was pretty late, I did watch most of the ceremony. I liked the ceremony and thought it was excellent. Of course, after the Indian team walked out in the procession I went to sleep, but watched the replay of it today morning.
Cheers!

I would have perhaps liked to have watched some of it, but due to the time difference here in Australia and the fact that I have a really busy weekend, it was not possible. I would not have watched it all I don't think though.

Definitely, I will watch the opening ceremony. I need to see my countrymen and our national flag. National pride as it is. I hope they will give a nice perfomance here. If I will not be able to watch that on live television, I would catch that in youtube or elsewhere. Thank you.

Thank you youless after reading your post I decided to wait and watch the London Olympics opening ceremony. Good thing that I slept early around 10 pm and woke up around 3:00 am. I am happy that I watched it because I saw their unique performance and famous celebrities in UK including Mr. Bean who makes everybody happy in his short participation.

Here in our place Olympics is shown in Doordarshan Sports Channel, which is a free channel. I think it is good to have free sports channel and lots of people can see it all around our country. I will view it most probably If I did not sleep if it is during the night.

We're just one hour ahead of them, so I might stay up to see it. It'll be a bit boring to go to London on Sunday without having seen anything, since I suppose everyone will be discussing it, no matter whether it is good or bad.
And I don't have to get up early tomorrow, so the only excuse is really that I have a very small TV *hehe*
