I can get 3 for the price of one, this is from our cat rescue people, these cats are well taken care of and have had great Vet care. The only draw back is they are all black, it seems black cats are not that popular and so there is always a surplus of these beauties. Would you take one?

In a heartbeat I would take at least three. People associate bad luck with black cats. I have one now that is 19 years old and totally black. He is semi feral but a real love bug to me. I have always loved black cats as they seem to be just a bit "odd" and wonderful companions.

Well, I have read all the responses from the bottom up, and Pat you seem to have mostly hit the cat loving jack pot. I find our black cat to be very elegant, and of course she is opinionated, and she has very strange taste in food. Likes beans and salsa. She is a dedicated and skilled hunter as well. No mouse better come to my house.

I love my two cats! They were a two-for-the-price-of-one deal at the shelter because they were litter mates and had bonded so separation would have been bad for them. If the 3 cats you are looking at are litter mates and have been together for a long time, separating them might not be the best idea.
As far as black cats, I love them and would take them (if I didn't already have 2 at home)... one of my best friends has two black cats and they are great pets.

Thanks for the best response savypat! I had a black cat once that I called Bunny..lol..his name was originally Merlin but if there was a nail or a spot on the wall, I could point at it and he would jump up and try to get it. I don't know what he thought it was...a fly maybe? He would do it as many times as I pointed at it too.

No not at all! I'm not into cats. I never knew that black cats were not popular to the point that they are giving 3 for the price of one. I have a dog and a African Grey Congo, and that is enough for me at this time. In fact, my Cody is 14 years old and once the day comes that he is no longer with us I will not replace him. He came to me because a distant family member was going take him to the pound after having him for a year. I couldn't let that happen so I took him in. I have now had him for thirteen wonderful years and I love him like a family member. It will be too hard on me to deal with the loss. To do it all over again, I couldn't.

Right now I can honestly say that I would not take one of them. Now, it isn't because of the fact that the cats are black, it is simply because of the fact that right now we do have three dogs and two cats and that does mean that we would not be able to afford having another pet at this point in time. However, if we were looking to add another feline member to our family, I would take one of them if their personality was one that would go with the personality of our family.

Well in my humble opinion, just the color has no value on how popular they should be. I'm so sad to think there are so many that get passed up based on their colour hair! Cats can't help what color their hair is just as people with black hair can't help it. Whoever started that silly thing about them being bad luck should be shot, it was probably thought of in the times where women were thought to be witches and black people were only to be slaves. It is a modernized world now and they are just as beautiful as any other color. I would take them all if I didn't have some issues of finances, and such here. I wouldn't worry about the popularity of them, they need homes just like any other color kitty cat if not moreso due to people thinking they are just not worth it due to their "unpopularity". Sad...really.

I also wonder if it is a dominant coloration? I have a solid black cat that came to me as a stray. My vet said it seemed there were several born at about that same time, as she had seen them. I like one cat as well as another. Our black cat, now that she is adult, seems to attract fewer fleas than our light colored cats.

Hi savypat, I had a beautiful black cat when I was growing up but I haven't had a black cat since. My sister has a hugh black cat and he too is very handsome. I guess some people are just superstitious but Yes I would be happy to take one. Blessings.
