Do you consider Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao a modern hero?

Because of his worldwide achievements as a boxer, his perseverance and his generosity, for others, he is deemed to be a modern-day Philippine hero. Do you think these are enough qualities to deem one as a hero? I want to know what you think?

I definitely disagree, imagine if he will the next president of the Philippines. The economy will be a disaster, he can just go for boxing era as an icon. National hero? I don't think so, he needs to step-down a bit. He is becoming so full of himself.

I think the Filipinos have learned their lesson from voting presidents that are celebrities. I just wish these celebrities will stay away from the presidential chair and let the more educated and experienced ones take the seat.

nope, definitely no.. he is a good boxer though.. he was able to help people in some ways special in his place in gensan but it is not enough for a man to become a hero.
