India is corrupt country why? Because we people of India like, love elect corrupt person to rule. We treat them like hero. The recent example of it is welcome Of A. Raja in his state Tamilnadu and at his home town. Indeed we Indian worship corrupts. What is your opinion share here.

It has been told that a like people get a like minded leader and governance. This is very true of India, since we Indians as a people are very corrupt minded .We can see this in the way we deal with things in every day lives, so it is not surprising that we have a corrupt government. What is needed is a change in the mind set of the entire nation which may eventually come since most educated people are fed up with the state of affairs as they are now...

hello kiran ji, average Indian are not corrupt and don't like corruption. But it is our system who are making the whole country corrupt. What I person do if his/her routine work is not done by burocrates. If people get done all their legit work with in time I think no one like to give bribes.

this is the contradiction of democracy. when people decide to put known corrupt politicians to office, they are giving up the very power that allow them to vote for politicians who use that power to corrupt the coffers of the government. many people do not know the cycle of corruption and the connection of election and the lost social services because of corruption of these elected politicians. it does not only happen to india, it happens everywhere.

What differs is the degree and amount of corruption that officials indulge in. It is big in some places, less elsewhere. Yet, it happens everywhere.

Hi friend, I think corruption is not because of the corrupt people only. One who bends before corruption is equally responsible for corruption. If common man starts to oppose corruption then certainly the corrupt people will also end. And actually people are not corrupt the thinking is corrupt. There is a simple example if a traffic police catches one for breaking the signal, then promptly person says take 50 / 100 rupees and leave me. One should be responsible enough to understand that if e make a mistake then should have courage of accepting the punishment and pay the necessary fine rather than to initiate corruption to save some 50 / 100 rupees. So when common man from India starts opposing the corruption India would certainly become corruption free. What is your opinion on this.

I concur with you. We talk about fighting with corruption and need for reforms. Yet, when it comes to ourselves, we do not follow honesty ourselves. Yet, if police, and the system starts showing strictness, people would fall in line. Yet, who would bite the bullet.

Corruption is everywhere, all over the world. Corruption may have been present along with human civilization.
Error not only by the who is corrupt, but even more so are the people who provide opportunities for corruption.

Hi,
You are right. Most of our Indian leaders are corrupted. We elect them to rule and control our country for its growth and our ministers make the use of the chair for their advantage and not for the people in the country. Some people like Anna Hazare fight for the development of our country. Bur it's of no use. Because it is very difficult to remove the lust of money from the people's mind.
