white lies is it okay?

hi mylotters i just want to ask if did you ever try telling a white lies? maybe all of us already try maybe even over a dozen if the same situation you or we are probably would do it again. But is it really okay to tell a white lie? How often has it been drummed into our heads that lying is wrong? But when there’s no other choice but to lie through your teeth, it doesn’t seem like such a bad option. there are many reason why people doing a white lie
1. to keep someone from getting hurt
2.To get out of something
3.To make the grade
4.To keep out of trouble
When you find yourself in a situation where you feel the need to tell a white lie, weigh the consequences first. If it’s really harmless, then go for it, but if it may not be a good idea in the long run, it might be better to choose the truth.

A lie is a lie. Black or white. Morally speaking it is wrong. But most often than not we do it because of the reasons you have cited. In my personal opinion, it is okay as long as I am not stepping on someone else's toes, that I know I saved someone because of that lie. But making it a habit to avoid facing the consequences of your actions is totally a different story. There will come a time that because of the lies that you've told, you can't keep up, all will turn against you. So it's better not to lie in the first place.

hi axai! yes i agree with you because yes honestly i am also telling a lie and i know that it is bad but because i want to save someone from lying i do it, but i am seeing that ii am not stepping to some one else and also i am not making it as a habbit.

I believe that what really matters is the results of our actions. If you tell a lie that hurts no one and helps everyone then you are doing the right thing. For example if someone asks you the location of someone that they are planning to kill and you are in a situation where you have to answer, then telling the truth would be a bad thing in that situation. That is how I see it anyway. What do you think?

I can not see the point why people lie, as people that lie tend to get caught out in the end and that can cause more of a upset.I feel that all the times that I have been lied to, it would not be right to lie no matter what to a person.When i found out that i had been lied to it hurt.

Yea the band White Lies is a really good band. Oh? You weren't talking about that. Sorry. I always try to make a white lie because it gives me a feeling of not lying and relief because I won't get any trouble. But I don't like lying, but sometimes it is impossible not to lie because you want no trouble and stuff.

lies is a lies, even it wrote in history, lies still lies, and a lie will lead to another lies. if you used a white lie to not hurt people, at the end you will hurt them when they know what actually you said is a lie, and nobody belive a liars, even they said the truth, so even you think that harmless, why don't you try another topic to distract them ???
