Age is but a number as what the saying goes. I just turned 40 yrs old few weeks ago. At first, i couldnt believe my age but its a matter of getting used to it. hehehehe. I thank the Lord for letting me reach this far in my life and I pray for more wisdom, good health and peace of mind. Life is hard when you think it is, but if you think otherwise, life is after all wonderful. I would like to think I still have a reason why I am still around, I would like to think so.

I am over 40, but when I turned 40 I was a little upset. All of the 20's and 30's that I had been through had not prepared me for this. I can remember thinking that it is not a stage I was ready for. I am not calling myself "old", but I am very surprised. Surprised that I have come this far in my life already. Well, it is something I have accomplished while gaining more wisdom , and I only hope to gain more. While we are living, we are learning. It is interesting to see what life teaches us. The older we get the more we can learn about many things. You are right to be thankful. I am thankful too. I just want to be healthy and live well.

so true. as we get older, we always pray for better health and more wisdom. I guess it comes with the age. we get wiser but health is always a concern especially for us who are in our 40s. less stress, prayers makes life easier, do something that interests you, laugh a lot. For me, these are the things i try to do everyday. :)

Belated happy birthday! It is nice that you are proud of your age. Age is only a number! It does not define you in anyway. Remember to stay healthy! Happy mylotting.

Palm trees swaying - My friend took a picture of me with the sea, the light of the sun at the beach and a palm tree.
You know, gelay, everything is relative. We are all mortals, of course, but we can do a lot of things at all ages. I´m 67 years young and was on chemo all of last year for an incurable lymphoma. I didn´t know whether I wouls be able to do much after that. I didn´t have any energy (it must have gone with my hair, like Samson. Yet now I´m on remission and my oncologist gave me permission to go for a 2 week awesome vacation to the caribbean.

I also have health problems. Its an auto immune disease. I get up everyday with high spirits and positive outlook. I am sorrounded with beautiful nieces and nephews, that keeps my child like disposition and had to keep up with their energy everyday. I am happy that youve gone for a vacation, you deserve it. I am also thinking of going out of town for few days just to break the monotony of everyday life. Life gets exciting when you are on remission, you get to do a lot of things, I tell you. just enjoy life and do whatever makes you happy. Thanks for sharing. :)

Hi, I also hope to reach that age in good health and mind. I just reach 30 and like you have said, I could not believe at first. Actually, when it is approaching, I really hoped that I could turn back the time :D Later on I told myself that years passed so quickly and did not realized that I am already 30. I think I will be happy to reach this age if I have achieved significant accomplishments in my life. I won't be having regrets and be proud to reach this age. But because I can't think of anything salient that I have done in the past, I just felt that I am running out of time. But like what you said, it is just a number. If there is something I can be proud of is that although I am already at this age, some people would think that I am just in my mid 20s. So continue to take care of your health and be optimistic. Life has a lot more to offer. Sometimes, it is only us that resist them.

When you reach a certain age, you will learn to appreciate more what you gone through and what you will go through life. learn to appreciate what is there and be thankful for what you accomplished. Theres no use regretting what you've not done instead try to focus on the positive side of life . good luck and enjoy life coz we all deserve it.

Hi gelay! I'll be of the same age next year. But it doesn't show. lol. I'm still sexy, pretty and have a lot of admirers. Age is just a number. Be positive at all times and everything will be fine.

It seems that you're implying that 40 is old :) I think it's actually the perfect age. It's a time when you're still able to do things you could a decade or so ago but have the financial means to back it up. Anyways, belated happy 40th birthday.

Oh my! I've never felt old. I mean I know it happens, but I just never feel it! I love to get up every day. Life is hard, believe me, for me, I need another job, I need to make ends meet, I have a strange and odd existence. I LOVE to get up and see what the new day will bring! Age is but a number, I have always felt that :D Life is for living, reality is the only thing to live for!

Age is just a number and young is just a feeling. I'm 41, just like you, thought before that past 40 is too old. I feel healthy and still can do much of the things I do when I was in my 20's. I am active in all aspects of my life, living it to the fullest.

well...Now I feel time flies.Maybe age is just a number but sometimes you can't avoid it when people tell you it's your time to do this or that. However I don't want be bored by my age.I think if you want to do something you should do it.No one can judge you when you do what you like.In our life health and happiness is most important.

My life story is full of struggles, victory and i would like to think i have had my share of happy moments as well. life is not all about negatives but also the positive. we tend to linger on the negative instead of the latter. Now, that I've reach this age, I would like to focus more on the positive side of life. If I cant have it what I expect things to happen, I regard it as part of life and move on. thanks for the greetings.
