I have a problem right now. I feel a little bit weaker than before. I work during the night every weekdays and I spend my time during the day on weekends. Is it a good idea? Do I need to keep my night shift body clock even during the weekends? I also want to know the impacts of my situation to my health.

You should cope up with this situation. Some are eating lots of fruits during their duty to protect their health being awake at night is dangerous for your kidney so you have to drink lots of water.

Wow. You are really working hard. It is good that you are working hard but also remember that you still need time for yourself. When was the last time you stopped and smelled the flowers? When was the last time when you enjoyed and had your "ME" time? It is important to work but it is more important to enjoy your life. You should know your limits. We are all only human. We cannot work all the time.

Hi... I have worked in night shifts for two years.. I never faced this issue, luckily... Because we used to party at nights on weekends and sleep during the day. I think you should sleep a little during the day, on the weekends and a little at night... Don't reverse it, totally... It'll be very hard... Take care...

That's one of the reasons I quit the call center work in 2007. The schedule was very erratic and you get this feeling you're missing out on a lot of daytime stuff because you're asleep most of the day during weekdays.

I think you just tired. When you are in night shift you should sleep/ take rest during the day, I suggest you to sleep. Make your day time become night time and your night time become your day time.

I experienced that during the first weeks working on a graveyard shift, but my body clock eventually adjust to it after several weeks. It was very difficult at first especially when you love to sleep at night (like me). Just try to be awake and do some stuffs during weekend nights and more sleep during daytime, because it will be very hard to make an adjustment if it is not consistent.

Personally for anyone, this would be rough, and something most people would Never recommend. I know myself anytime I have to move shift during a week due to everything on my plate, it is not easy. If I were you I would be asking if there is anyway eventually they can switch this up as well.

The alteration in your sleeping pattern disrupts your body clock which causes your body to be weak. The time between those changes may not be sufficient to adjust to the other. Insufficient sleep causes fatigue and makes the immune system weaker. I hope that you have sufficient time to adjust your schedule to the other at least have one day off before shifting to night or day jobs.

I think you should have a days off. Let go of your work on the weekends. I think that is much better. That's what I did. Before, I was really workaholic that even on a Sunday I work. But I realize that I don't really have to stress myself from work because life is not all about it. So I gave up my work on weekends. Health is more important than money. Please try to take care of your health because that is your biggest investment when you work. :)

I work in an odd way too. I usually start working in the day, well into the early morning. i sleep at dawn!!!! is that normal or healthy???? i find it easier to get more work done in the serene night time.... you should see how your body is adjusting to the cycle, physically and mentally!!!!
