Adobe Flash Player 11 - rubbish?

A couple of days ago I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player 11, as prompted by the Adobe update notifier, considering that having the player up to date is the best thing to do, singe updates are supposed to be better, since they take care of the faults in previous versions. Well, I don;t know if it's just me or something else I did on my PC, but this version of Adobe Flash Player is rubbish. I play a couple of Facebook flash-based games and with this new version it's really annoying to try playing, since it always freezes. The image doesn't freeze for more than a couple of seconds, but that's enough to make me regret updating the player. What's worse is that there is no older version available for me to install... Are you experiencing the same problems with Adobe Flash Player 11? Is it as bad for you as it is for me? Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Yeah it's definitely a pain for me as well. It just keeps crashing and it's rubbish! Even when I'm not watching videos it will freeze the whole window and then tells me it's crashed so obviously some page had to use it for something. It's crap

The videos work fine for me, and I haven't had the crash message so far, but it still freezes during games...

Hmmm well I don't play a lot of games, just do videos so that's very strange. We both have different issues with it. Still rubbish

I've re-installed it several times and now it seems it's running OK. It's crashing a lot, but at least it's not freeze-framing any more.

Is that the same thing as Adobe Reader 11?

No, Adobe flash player is used for animations and small clips. Adobe Reader is made for document editing. Both are made by Adobe, but serve different purposes.

Hi stvasile , I've been having minimal issues with AFP for a little while and now, with 11, I get a message out of the blue that says "Adobe flash Player has crashed". You can try going to your control panel and then highlight the file and hit re-install or repair. Can't hurt and I can't think of anything else other than going to the Adobe forum and see if there's any info there.

I've tried removing re-installing the program, but unfortunately I get the same result... I even tried looking for the previous version of the program, but it's not available any more... Thank you for the suggestion!

I think its because your browser isnt compatible or stable with adobe flash player... How about updating your browser if your using mozilla firefox... not sure about chrome and if your using Internet explorer i suggest that you stop using it coz its crappy all the way..

I am a firm believer in the qualities of Mozilla Firefox, so that's what I'm using. I checked if Firefox is up to date, and it is... Thanks for the suggestion, but it seems that it's not Firefox that causes the problems...

I expect the did some testing, but obviously not enough. Either that, or they expect us all to highly upgrade our PC/laptop configuration...
