Leather or Synthetic

I have friends that will only buy leather shoes due to the fact that they last longer and are more comfortable and healthier for your feet. I on the other hand, have no problem wearing shoes that are made out of a synthetic material. Although I prefer my boots to be in leather, I would rather have lots of pairs of synthetic shoes and sandals than just own two or three pairs of shoes manufactured in leather.
I would love to hear your opinion on the matter.

some peoplew ill not wear lethal for moral issues, ie theyre vegatarian etc.
I dont really care what shoes are made out of. I ahve very wide feet and big feet so i tend to wear flip flops as much as the year as i can as theyre easiest to find in my size!
