My kids were trying to find one of their blankets. They could not find it anywhere so they asked if I would help. Of course I did. I am searching and searching. Then I realize I don't hear them doing anything...I go in their room and their covered up with the blanket that they already found! I asked my daughter, why didn't you tell me you found the blanket? Oops. Lol, that was her response! Have you ever searched for something that someone else already found?

Kids! My grandson will be in a big hurry to find one of his Lego pieces or another toy and will ask his Mom to help him look. When she starts looking he stops. Your kids are so cute. Hopefully the next time they lose something and ask you to help them find it they will also tell you if they find it.

Lol. That is usually the way it goes, they stop! My kids were helping until they found it and did not say a word about finding it. Thank you, they are cute! =) I hope they do tell me next time.

That has happened to me before. Kids are like that. I believe my daughter would be the one to tell me she found it. My son, well, he is so in grossed in his video games that if he did find it, he would not tell me. I would be looking around like a chicken without a head.

Yeah they got interested in cartoons instead of telling me! Lol. I guess they thought that was more important than telling me. That is how I was like a chicken with my head cut off searching!

We should be able to deal with it. Basically because we were kids once ourselves and I know for a fact that I was a bad kid. So I know the mentality. We all get involved with things and not pay attention sometimes.

The way it usually works here is that my boyfriend "loses" things. They are, of course, within eyesight. He will walk around looking for them, get upset that he can't find them, and I will locate them after a few minutes. I point at where the item is, and he still can't see it. *Sigh*

My husband does the same exact thing! For example the other day he could not find his shirt in the closet that he wanted to wear. He said baby, please come help me find it. So, I was in there maybe at most a minute and there it was! Lol. I always tell him it helps if you OPEN your eyes when you look for things!

That's too funny (although I'm sure it's not funny when it happens!). In my case, my daughter is always losing her things - and I mean always. She jumps up and down she can't find something in a panic . . . then she asks me to help her find it. I go looking everywhere, and when I come back, she's just sitting on the couch hanging back "waiting" for me to bring it to her! Argh! So now she is old enough to take care of her own things - and if she loses it, I tell her to go find it!!

It was funny! Lol. But not so much at the time. Yeah my kids have done that to me too. Or my daughter will ask can you please help me clean my room? I end up doing it all so now when she needs to clean her room she does it herself! I am tired of doing it while she watches me! Lol

So they actually forgotten to inform you that they have managed to find the blanket. You seems to be taking it lightly which is just what you supposed to do. If you acted too much on it, it will cause everybody to be unhappy. Well done! I have not experience something like this as they would always inform me if they have managed to find it. However, there is once my co worker lost her necklace which was given by her boyfriend. I helped her in searching for it and I found it. Yet, I didn't tell her that I found it before it's time to close the store. When I show her the necklace, she is very much relieved and happy. That means she does value what her boyfriend gave her.

Yeah they never told me they found it! Lol. It's not so serious, I thought it was kinda cute when she said "Oops". Lol.

That's cute! Well it also happened to me. It happened in the office though. One of my colleagues asked me if I saw a certain document. I said no but I helped her find it. I even reached the other department investigating if they happen to see that. When I came back to our room, I told her I haven't found it. SHe just smiled and said sorry, I already have it. It's only in my drawer. awww...

Oh goodness, it happens to everyone I think. Lol. Geez, it was in her drawer the whole time! I have had that happen to me before too. Lol.

I have a terrible memory, a terrible habit of forgetting where I put things, so my girlfriend would really be annoyed when after just a few minutes of putting something somewhere, I'd be searching for it and have no idea where I placed it. Sometimes, it becomes ridiculous already, like the time I took the cover off my toothbrush and just after brushing my teeth, I spend more than a minute to look for the cover. I asked my girlfriend where I placed and she knew where, but wouldn't tell me. She was just laughing at me the whole time I was going back and forth the bathroom and my bedroom looking for it.

Yeah my husband is the same way as you also. Lol, that is too funny! My husband is terrible at finding things after he loses them. He can never find anything. He constantly asks me to find things, it usually takes me a few minutes if that. Lol. I am always telling him it would help if he would open his eyes while looking! Lol.

Yes...my dad was notorious for losing his swiss army knives....he had three. One weekend he was searching all over for one of them as all three disappeared....I was tearing apart the basement and he was sitting in his chair watching tv....when I went up I told him I couldn't find one he says....oh it was right here in my chair! (it had fallen out of his pocket!)

Lol. Don't you hate when someone does that to you? I do! Lol. Why didn't they tell us they found it instead of having us keep looking for it?! I'm glad I checked on them because I would have still been looking for it!

LOL! Yes how frustrating! My daughter is getting better, most of the time now she'll tell me when I can stop looking, either because she found it first or daddy found it first.

Lol, it is frustrating! It was cute her response but it was annoying searching for no reason at all!

I live alone so I do not have this problem! If I can't find something I usually will find it when I am not looking for it! That can be frusrating! when I am owrk something I am asked to something out of one of the coolers or freezers. Sometimes I can't find something but sorry as someone less goes looking they usually find it! It happens to others, too!

I have done that one too. I search for something and can never find and then a couple days later there it is! Lol. It is frustrating, I agree.

I know this happened to me but can't recall any recent incident as of now. And yes, it a bad thing when no one ever informed us that they've found it already-while we're still/keep searching for it...:P Kids are smart and annoying sometimes

Same thing would happen with my brother and I. He would cry and say, help me clean my room and I'll help you with yours. I'd start cleaning and he'd leave and I'd be like where did you go. He would say I said I'd help you with ours. Brothers!
