why do my family expect me to cook

just because i got my associate degree in culinary art dont mean that i will be cooking everyday,whenever yall are hungry!someone please tell me why people take advantage of others that have a gift i just dont understand it!yesterday i came home one day hungry as h... expecting food to be ready when i got there i didnt smell not one thing so i ask wheres the cooked food at and you no what they said you the cook, so you cook we hungry and we been waiting on you to get home,so what happen was i order a pizza for myself and everybody else had to fend for themself!that teach them a lesson!

Congratulations on your associates degree in culinary arts. that is not something we can all achieve, With your degree, your family may just assume that you want to cook all of the time and enjoy doiing so. They may just ex[ect that you woud want to do the cooking and show off your fine skills. Perhaps you should let your family know that you like to cook but you would like a break frim it every once in a while as well.

Most people are just using the others and expect everything. I think you do the right thing. They need to learn that just because you're better at something, they don't have the right to demand it from you. I've had kind of the same experience, as my family is always nagging me to read any kind of English website, as I'm the one who knows English best... I help with pleasure most of the time, but not when I wanna have a rest and totally exhausted... and even when I get up from my chair more slowl, they are "you're so rude as you don't want to help us"...
