And that is a gold for South Africa! Just as I stated earlier today one needs to keep an eye out on South African swimmers. I feel this year South Africa can walk away with 5 medals at last. Compared to China and the US this is nothing but for South Africa it is not a bad performance.
What do you guys think about their chances?

South Africa is doing pretty well in the pool this Olympics. The one in which Phelps lost out was a real surprise as till the last stroke Phelps was ahead. But then he made a Rookie mistake and failed to touch the target ahead of his South African opponent and lost out on the Gold he was chasing.
Sports is a great leveler, after 15 gold medals and 8 years of never having lost in the specific event, Phelps ends up making a Rookie mistake!!
Cheers!

Sorry for my innocence but what is Rookie Mistake?
That is the thing I like with Michael because he was sport who is matured enough to accept defeat.

Like we all know in sports, a miss is a good as a miss by a mile. I am happy to see Phelps was a sport about it and even praised the South Africa.

Congratulations to the Gold medal winners. Yes, South Africa does have its chances in a good number of fields in Olympics- but tough competition also.

I feel they have done a good job this year, 3 golds is impressive and also a silver but there is still time.

I remember that athlete and of course that is Chad Le Clos. I can't believe that he was able to beat Phelps at that time while Phelps was always in the top while the competition is going on. I thought it could be Phelps or I am already expecting it that he would have the gold then I never thought that Chad Le Clos will beat him. Chad looks humble and no wonder why he had his tears of joy.
