I just clicked this and it got internet. I have so much data on my plan, then I can connect to my parents router with their password. I don't know what this hotspot is, and wonder if I will get charged more. I may call bell and ask them as its faster and something I can use while petsitting.

If your in a data plan with internet on the package you don't have to use your wifi to connect on others wifi hotspot specially on the one who forgot to have a password. But your plan does not comes with internet, you can used your wifi to connect on the wifi spot just turn off your mobile data mode so that it will not charge you on your phone bill.

I have a small amount of data which I would go over, But supposeable this isnt wifi. I have a seperate function you turn the wifi on which barely connects to anything. Whereas this other says Mobile HotSpot and connects really well I just dont know if it will charge me more.

Try to change turn off the mobile data if you can use the wifi in the mobile Hotspot. Or better try to ask your subsciber about it.

I may try it when I go petsitting on Wednesday. I don;t want to spend more money on internet, but I just dont like how small my screen is on my cellphone (I perfer the laptop). I know I was sitting out in my backyard and connected to this Mobile HotSpot and I got internet, so I imagine while petsitting I;ll get it since where I am now is out in the country.

This is definitely something that you should check into further. My best friend's phone is also one that does allow for the phone to be a mobile hotspot, however, because of the fact that she is on a pre-paid plan she is not able to use the mobile hotspot feature on her phone.
If you are able to use the feature, you will get a pretty decent connection to the internet and it is a lot quicker than having to depend on a dial up connection or purely your mobile phone to access the internet.

You should consult your mobile carrier I think. It's a lot safer to know first before using it and it will save you and your phone company from conflicts that might arise in case you get additional charges on your next bill. If you have hotline numbers of your carrier that is toll-free, you may inquire ASAP so you don't need to worry whether to use or not to use the service.

Yes.some phones have mobile hotspots. You need to have a smartphone to do this and it might be extra depending on your carrier. For instance , att will add an extra 50-60 dollars to get the mobile hotspot. It can be worth it though if you have a family that has electronics or in places with no wifi hotspots.

In a simple term, your phone has WiFi... Just like your computer, as long as you're on a router, you won't get charged extra for data... You only get charged data while you're NOT on some sort of privately owned router... You can goto Starbucks & you'll notice you link your phone to their "public router", too... As long as you're linked to WiFi router, you won't get charged... Think of your phone as a laptop for the sake of data... Anywhere you can link your laptop to & don't have to pay for it, you'll be able to link your phone too & use data...
