is it ok for parents to tattoo their babies?

NO WAY!! That is TERRIBLE (not to mention illegal, at least here in the US!) I have many tattoos myself, but I would NEVER tattoo my daughter. I won't even get her ears pierced! That is her choice to make later on in life, not mine!

I would say know but I had a friend who had her babies ears piericed had tatoos on him and the whole nine yards I mean I feel sorry for him I don't know what kind of life he will have.Sad thing is parents do things to there children when they are young I think they should wait and let them decide.

there is no way ever that i would tattoo a baby, or even give a baby a piercing until they were able to talk and say i want it or no i dont! I think it is just cruel its one thing for an adult to be tattooed but an innocent child who hasnt even been given the option if they want it or not and even if given the option they are a baby they wouldnt understand!

I only saw 1 person say that this is illegal! Come on people...it is required by law that you be 18 years old to get a tattoo, even as a parent you cannot walk into a tattoo parlor and request a tattoo on your child. Any place that WOULD do it should be shut down. I dont know why so many people jumped down fritz_haileys throat for this. It was just a question. It's not something that can even be done. It's child abuse! I dont know of any place that would allow for childrean/babies to be tattooed. Unless it's in some other country and even then...Ive yet to see it. There are lots of places that wont even peirce babies ears!!! Theres no way a tattoo could be done.

No never. When my children reach 18 they can then decide if they want a tattoo. I won't approve even then but I will try to convince them to get a less revealing tattoo or none at all.
