i could not estimate the tendency of the people in mylot site

yugasini: I was having the very same point in my mind. I have 360 friends or so. I am sure at least 100 friends will be receiving mails for discussions started by me. I get maximum 10-15 responses for topics which I consider interesting. out of this friends only 5 or six balance are made by new comers. reasons: 1) Topics which I consider as more important--interesting -- are not considered so by other mylot friends/members. 2) mylot members have been busy with week end -- go for picnics, movies. 3) members want quick money or more money and are hesitant to spend more time in mylot. good day.

The discussion should be appealing to many then they will respond. Sometimes friends will respond. But in my case though I respond to their discussion, they never respond to mine. It happens and we should bear with that. I think your doubt is cleared now for this discussion.

I am new here so I was just dropping by to learn something new. I can never tell how many respond I would get per discussion I start but so far I think I am doing pretty good . People are very friendly here and they try to help .

It depends upon the topic I suppose. In some way we should be able to relate to it. Sometimes, friends dont have time. At other times, people are so stressed out they are in mood to relax rather than participate in anything serious..nothing personal..

In this site,we come from different countries and diferent areas. We believe in different religions, and we care about different things. When a topic is started, it may be the one popular with the people in your country, but perhaps we even haven't heard of it, for example, if someone talks about a TV series, a movie star in his country, how can the friends from other countries respond to it?

Don't Care about tendency. write things that what you feel, and what is your vision. But if you want to make money you can select popular topic. but I suppose in this forum I need give my own thoughts to my lot ties.

No one can predict what a discussion will see in the way of responses. Some explode and have ten pages full of responses while some have two or thre and sit there a year or two before EXPLODING again... I bet you'll get a lot of responses to this, but as for how many? Whose to say? It also depends, a lot of people are trying to make that last buck before the cut off..

Hi yugasini... No one can predict that. I am also a member from 4 years and none of my discussion has left having a single response. There are some issues which make a discussion successful. Like good relationship with friends, a topic where most members can participate, your interactions with respondents...etc. and more over a spicy title too. Hope this discussion will be a successful one. Have a nice time.

To get a discussion going I think can be random as well. You never know what will happen. I am looking down my list of discussions and most are average to the below average range. This is because I am not very good at the get lots of responses skill. I know what I am doing wrong though. I have been answering every single comment with something that usually contains a fair amount of text, more than two or three lines. I think my subjects are a little in depth and require more reading than a say a two line subject and comments. There may be other reasons I can not see but these are a couple of reasons I can. My example of how to create discussions I am afraid is how to get average or low to average responses. This is my choice however because I like to think that I'm actually discussing something and not just playing the game of make the discussion a large one as I see many successful topics in large numbers are? That does not mean that every large topic is shallow nor that every topic has to be heavy duty discussion. Just an observation.
