Bible - Reading the Word of God

I love reading the Bible. It reminds me of how great my God is and reminds me of His promises especially when I am down. God'd word is complete in the Bible and it is the best book in the whole world for the wisdom it gives is the the wisdom that will only live in the eternity. The primary purpose of the Bible is to tell us about salvation. How can man be saved? Accept Christ in your life, Believe that He is your Savior and Confess with repentance your sins unto God promising never to do it again. Just remember the ABC! :))

I also love reading the Bible. God's thoughts and ways are so much superior to our own. What do we know? God knows everything, even the future. His guidance is indispensable in life. I like this Bible verse on this subject: Psalm 119:105 King James Version (KJV) 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Since I don't know the original languages of the Bible, I find that comparing translations has helped me a lot. That's why I find Proverbs 2:1-12 very instructive when it comes studying the Bible and finding the "knowledge of God." Proverbs 2:3-5 King James Version (KJV) 3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

I am in there with you on this. Sometimes the bible can be very deep and people will not understand then set it aside. We are not supposed to "understand" the way we understand other things. It says to "Lean not on our own understanding". This is hard to explain but basically the bible will speak to our hearts and not our minds. If we keep reading and seeking to read the bible, our lives will be transformed in ways we are not going to see coming. I love reading it when I am feeling upset, especially the psalms now. It is a book that is alive and there is no other book like it. The wisdom within those pages will never fade away nor be matched. The word of God will always be on this earth and it is miraculous it has even been written.

"Oh how I love thy law, it is my meditation all the day", such was what King David says in Psalm 119:97. So from this I can easily understand by King Davis is called "the man after God's own heart". He loves God's Word that much. I therefore would like to be called "the woman after God's own heart" and I believe I could be if I would take the example of David. Yes the Bible can save souls. I am one of those saved by His word and I continuously read His Word as my life guide. Many people don't believe the Bible is the Word of God. Well that is their loss. The Bible is the Word of God and the way you treat the Bible is a gauge of how much you love God.

Like you, I like reading the Bible. There are a lot of things that I learned when I read the Bible. The Bible teach us to love one another, to do good to other, to help other people, to be humble, to sacrifice, to be worthy in the eyes of GOD, to serve, praise and worship GOD, and so forth. For me, the Bible is the best book that I have ever read and I will always read and keep this book with me until the end.

Oh how I agree with you. I am a proud Christian and love reading the Bible. I especially love the New Testament for it talks about love, love, love and after all, that is what God is............love. It also tells us to love each other, to forgive one another just the way Christ forgives us. Even our enemies we are to forgive and to love and to treat right. I love my God and love my Savior Jesus and love the Holy Spirit. Praise God!

There is not doubt that there is no book like the bible. I like reading the bible because it gives me wisdom and guide my path to be a better person in God's eyes. There are so many things I have learned from the bible and one of the best so far is that it has taught me about the truth about God and his purpose for us. Reading the bible has also help me overcome many circumstances in my life as well as my married life. It has contributed a lot in the success of our marriage because God, as the founder of the first family, He knows what is best for married couple.
