So Spain have crashed out of the Olympics without scoring a goal in their opening two matches. It looks like Brazil are nailed on favourites to win the gold now. Can you see anyone stopping them ? I would like to see Great Britain do well but they have a tough final game against Uruguay.

The tournament is really throwing up some surprises. I would have backed Spain to take the gold medal - perhaps they're burned out after Euro 2012. Maybe there's still hope for Team GB, then. Brazil are a bit unpredictable, so it's anyone's final now Spain are out.

Yes, it is the biggest surprise of the tournament. Spain lost to Honduras and Japan to be knocked out of the tournament in a group that should have been a cakewalk for them. But I guess that is the beauty of the Olympics with only three players above 23 allowed.
Cheers!

Finally I get to see Spain fall flat. While there are many talented players in the Olympic squad but they lack the cohesiveness of the senior squad. This makes me believe that the current crop of players are a one-off thing. As for the winner for the Olympics, Brazil is the run-away favorite. While I do not fancy the GB team, but with the home support, they might just nick it.

I was so surprised find Spain lost from Japan and Hungary. What happen with them?? Japan and Hungary is not even counted before the competition. after this surprise, may be the winner could be unpredictable. Of course Brazil sounds superior than other, but Great Britain have extra motivation to win on their home. Anyone can win

NOO! I was really hoping Spain was gonna win.. :((( But anyway, since Spain are out and can't win i'm voting for Brazil and I think (I hope) no one can stop them... I don't like GB so much because they didn't get Beckham.. :/

If Spain, as one of the per-tournament favorites, could be eliminated so unexpectedly, the possibility of that happens to Brazil can not be discounted, especially when the two games that Brazil played so far showed that the Selecao is not so invincible - they conceded goals. What if they could not make a come back like they did against Belarus when their knock-out stage opponent scores an early goal? From the results so far, it shows that the teams are quite close in their performance. Team GB did not find it easy against Senegal. Uruguay even lost 0-2. I think we should expect to see more of the unexpected to happen soon.

It is commonplace in football, be wonderful because teams in the championship favorites were eliminated from the tournament, probably because Spain overconfident and underestimate your opponent, this is the results they get, but even threatened sanctions eliminated Spain as well as their attitudes who could not accept defeat.
Now the favorites are Brazil, United Kingdom and Uruguay. However, Uruguay and the United Kingdom have to die to escape hiup party.
